Shan March 28, 2013 for Model Number kfcp22exmp2 I need an end cap for my KitchenAid fridge deli drawer. The hinge pin broke off. I want to make sure I'm getting the correct one (left vs. right). I need the one that is on my left as I open the fridge. From the parts pics on the web site, it looks like that one is called the "right". Can you confirm which one is right for me? Thanks!!
Mike February 02, 2013 for Model Number Kitchen Aide kfcs22evms4 - left pantry I have the correct part to replace (W10122078), but what type of screw holds it on and what type of tool does it take to get the screws out. The screw hole is super small and though I did get small screw driver in a couple of inches, it did not seem to reach the screw. Thanks for any help you can give me. Mike
Mike H. August 01, 2012 for Model Number KFCS22EVMS0 S/NKY2188797 The hinge pin on which the deli drawer cover pivots broke off. With this model the hinge pin was cast as part of the left side endcap. I'm assuming that now I need to order a new left side end cap AP4365313 plus the Temp Control Knob part AP4078991.
1 Answer Hello Mike! Yes, you will need the left side end cap WPW10122078 to obtain the pivot. The temp control knob W11498983 on the existing end cap should clip on/off and should be able to be reused unless broken on your current unit now. Thanks! Read More...
John S July 15, 2012 for Model Number Kitchen Aid KFCS22EVMS4 I need to replace the right side (as you face the refrigerator) plastic hinge for the Deli Center cover. It snapped off when I accidentally closed the refrigerator door with the Deli Center drawer open. Based on your answer to Bernard (above), I believe I need to order the endcap AP4365313 which has the slide thermostat control on it. However, the diagram for this part does not seem show the hinge. Can you tell me if (1) AP4365313 is the corrent part that I need to order and (2) is it something you believe I can replace myself?
1 Answer John, You may want to check the deli drawer cover WP12656822, as well. The hinge pins are part of that assembly. And the pivot point is part of the endcap WPW10122078. Once you remove the crisper drawers and shelf, then the deli drawer, it's a pretty simple and easy repair. unlock and slide the drawer rails off the endcap, remove a couple of screws holding the endcap to the wall, Disconnect the temperature shifter rod from the air diffuser and remove the assembly. Gerard S. November 06, 2011 How do I remove this old part, particularly, the slide thermometer connection?
1 Answer Hi Gerard. The part is bolted or screwed to the side of the cabinet. There are tabs that need to be unclasp to release it from the side. The thermometer lever is placed into the sides with clips and rides in internal grooves. It all should gently separate. End cap part # WPW10121977. Thermometer slide is part # 67003794. Thank You. Gerard S. October 29, 2011 for Model Number kfcs22evms2 For this endcap part my unit has a rightside one that has a slide thermostat on it, the left side one does not have the thermostat. I need to replace the one with the slide thermostat on it (right side). Is this the correct part? I do not see 2 different units listed so I was concerned!
1 Answer Hello Gerard. Based on the model number you provided, WPW10121977 is the right side endcap. Hope this helps. Read More...
