1 Answer Mike, the most likely cause of failure would be the ignitor W11176454. This can be verified by testing the safety valve WP98014893 for 3.2 to 3.6 VAC during a bake cycle. If the voltage reaching the safety valve is not in this range, the ignitor has weakened and would need to be replaced. If the voltage is in this range, the safety valve has failed if the bake burner jets are clear of debris/blockages. Read More...
Rich May 23, 2021 for Model Number KitchenAid kebs208dbl6 I got the replacement part for the bad fuse (WP4456654), however I am struggling to get the bad fuse to release from the wire harness that is plugged into the circuit board (power is turned off). Can someone explain or provide a trick to release it so I can finish the repair? Thank you.
1 Answer Rich, If the fuse is in heat shrink where the connectors are then just cut the heat shrink out and you can use 2 pairs of needle nose pliers and pull the connectors apart. Read More...
Anna M June 04, 2017 for Model Number GBD307PRS01 Help please. Was broiling in top oven. Finished. Shut off oven. Left. Came back and oven dead. Tried to reset breaker. Nothing. No lights no nothing. Checked power to oven, 240 ok. No burn marks anywhere on board. Top oven thermal fuse in back fine. I can't attach picture but my oven thermal fuse attached to control board looks like your AP6009502 only the harness is crimped so I can't pull it out without cutting it. I don't have the two females Like the one you show that is supposed to be for my model. I can't find my tech sheet for my model. Funny. It's no longer available which I find odd. Would a thermal fuse be a reason for it being completely dead? Will test transformer once multimeter arrives. But did my model use two different fuses?
1 Answer Anna, If the thermal fuse has continuity then it is good and if not then the issue will most likely be the either the board or the transformer. Read More...
J.D. August 15, 2016 for Model Number KEBC207KSS04 I'm trying to replace the thermal fuse and want to know if WP 4456654 is the right part and if it isn't where can I buy the right part? Thanks.
Mark February 29, 2016 for Model Number KEBS207DBL10 Oven totally dead. I replaced the original thermal fuse which was part 4452223 with updated part 9759242 ,looks different, hope its the correct one. Still dead. My next try will be to replace the control panel fuse. Which part number would that be? How do I release the plastic sleeve section without destroying it? The clip section has a tiny release clip, put not releasing, any tips? Thank You
1 Answer Hello Mark. On your model you need to check the control transformer WP9760587 in the unit. If bad, the panel will not work. The fuse should have a clip to release it if needed. You will have to pull to release it. Read More...
Connie November 26, 2015 for Model Number not sure it is a Kitchen Aid glass top range I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner and my oven and my glass top burners all quit working and will not come on. I thought maybe if it cooled down it would start working again but it has been several hours and will still not work. Is there a fuse that could have blown?
1 Answer Hello Connie, This can be a thermal limiter if the model has one or it can be a lost connection at the terminal block/junction box. It could also be a breaker issue. You should verify voltage to the unit and locate the tech sheet as a guide in your troubleshooting. This is as specific as we can get without the model number from the units' I.D. tag. Read More...

Jim September 05, 2015 for Model Number IBS550PWW01 Hi I have an IKEA (Whirlpool?) IBS550PWW01 White Convection Wall Oven. They show a Control Panel Thermal Fuse in the Oven Schematic but there is no part number for it just 84 degrees C or 183 degrees F. Someone said it comes with the wiring harness but all I need is the fuse. Any idea where I can get one? Thanks!
1 Answer Jim, The part number for the in line thermal fuse for your unit will be part number WPW10638608. Read More...
Paul May 08, 2015 for Model Number GDB307PRB00 I want to replace the thermal fuse to my control board. Whirlpool does not list a replacement fuse for my model. I guess they expect you to replace the entire wire harness. Which fuse should I use? Thank you for your assistance.
1 Answer Paul, You do have the correct part number WP4456654 for a Kitchen Aid labeled wall oven. The fuses are rated and constructed of the same material, only the connectors are different. The WP4451042 fuse is for the Whirlpool labeled wall ovens, and is the one you need based on the model number you supplied. You also want to position the new fuse up as close to the grille panel so it is in the air flow from the cooling fan. Read More...
