Richard February 12, 2018 My oven stopped working during a self cleaning cycle. So far I've replaced both internal fuse assemblies, the temperature control sensor and the control board. What else can it be?

Richard G February 10, 2018 I replaced both fuse assemblies after my oven shut down during a cleaning cycle. I reassembled everything and the oven still won't work, Any thoughts?
1 Answer Richard, The most likely cause for the oven to not work would be a bad control board. Read More...
Yel Nuheg December 18, 2017 for Model Number WOS51EC0AS02 Issue: If the oven is set to 200 degrees, the screen displays the current temperature (as “lo”) and the words, “preheating”. The display correctly shows the temperature rising (although at a rate that is much slower than most ovens). When the desired temperature is reached a tone is voiced, the oven display shows the temp (200°), and the display prompts the user to insert food in the oven. All good so far. However, if you press “Cancel”, change the temperature to 350°, and press “Start”, the oven display shows “177 degrees - Baking” and never changes. Although the oven does heat up there is no way to tell when, or if, it hits 350° because there is no change in the display and no auditory tone to indicate that the desired temperature was reached. This malfunction occurs even if different temperature settings are used. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Yel N. You will want to check the oven sensor to make sure that the sensor has a resistance at room temp of 1090 ohms. You can also check at a higher reading by adding 2 ohms for every 1 degree of temperature rise. If this checks ok then the issue will most likely be in the control board that is faulty. Read More...
Lu August 03, 2017 for Model Number WOD93EC0AS01 Oven locked and stopped working after self-cleaning bottom oven. Changed out the thermal fuse behind control panel and the oven turned on and top oven heats fine. Bottom oven shows display, fan runs, says it is preheating but never warms up. Tried broil cycle, still doesn't warm up. Is there another part that needs to be checked?
1 Answer Lu, Based on this information, this would most likely be a faulty control board for the unit. Read More...
Sam February 03, 2017 for Model Number WOD93ECOASO1 MY DOUBLE WALL OVEN SHUT DOWN AND WENT BLANK DURING THE CLEANING CYCLE. THE BOTTOM DOOR IS LOCKED AND THERE IS NO DISPLAY. I READ THAT IT MIGHT BE THE THERMAL FUSE, SO I REMOVED IT BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK BAD. QUESTION IS HOW CAN YOU TELL IF THE THERMAL FUSE IS BLOWN?
1 Answer Hello Sam. You will need to test the thermal fuse for continuity. It should read closed on the unit if good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Zane A. January 06, 2017 for Model Number IBS550PWS00 The inline thermal fuse behind my control board blew during a cleaning cycle. The only replacement fuse I can find is WP4451042 with a 3/16" and 1/4" female connector. The problem is the fuse that came from my oven has two 1/4" female connectors. I can't find a replacement fitting this description.
1 Answer Hello Zane, You will need to order WPW10638608 as per the description, (1/4 inch spade on each end). Read More...
Deb H. August 26, 2016 for Model Number WFE714HLASO I turn my oven on to a certain degree to heat up, but it doesn't shut off at that degree....it gets extremely hot and burns food like the broiler is on. Can you give me any idea what is wrong with it?
1 Answer Deb, Being your range is an electric model, and you have an ERC (Electronic Range Control) You would want to recheck and re calibrate the control, if you have done that, the next option, and most likely problem would be the Oven Temp. Sensor WPW10181986 located in the oven cavity back wall. This device transmits the oven temperature to the ERC, Under certain conditions and usage factors, the sensor can loose the calibration and cause the oven to overheat. You also want to check for loose connections and corrosion in the wire harness connectors, and make sure the two sensor wires aren't pinched or chafed where the wires interact with the chassis and seams of the panels. Jason September 05, 2015 for Model Number Xfe361ilvd My oven will preheat. We put something in and comeback to it not finished. Oven temp will be cool. Got continuity on both elements. Also 120 vac on both. Not sure what else to check?
1 Answer Jason, The model number provided XFE361ILVD is not coming up as being a valid model number. It does appear that we are referring to electric oven that is not working. With this being a electric model then when the unit is set to bake there should be 240 vac to the bake element. If there is not then you are losing one leg of power. Since the unit preheats then it sounds like the control board would be the issue. Read More...
