The Rear Oven Door Glass is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. This glass panel is installed on the inside of the oven door and is essential for providing a heat-resistant viewing window, allowing users to monitor the cooking process without opening the door. Measuring about 20 inches by 10 inches, this quality glass keeps heat in the oven and provides a clear view for easy baking.

Symptoms of a bad Rear Oven Door Glass include:

  • Cracks or chips in the glass,
  • Visible streaks or fogging between glass layers that can't be cleaned,
  • A loose fit that may cause heat to escape or the glass to rattle during oven use.

Causes of rear oven door glass damage typically include thermal stress from high heat, impact from closing the door too forcefully, or accidental bumps with pots or pans.

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Hello Marg, your model has three inner glass pieces. Two of them are close together and the first ones you get to from the inside of the door. Those two are part# WP3169203 and if both are broken you need to order two. The other inner door glass 3169202 is closer to the outside glass but it has been discontinued. Hope this helps!

Hi Kathy, your door assembly has two inner pieces of glass. If you open your oven door and look down, the first glass you see is part# WP4449259 and measures approximately 20" wide x 10" tall. The next glass inside is another inner glass WP4449263 which is larger and is approximately 22" wide x 12" tall. These measurements are approximate but you can see an obvious difference. Hope this helps you distinguish the location of the two and there is a diagram on our website that shows the door assembly. Hello Scott. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass WP4449259, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it.

Hello! The inner door glass part number WP4449259 is 10" x 20", this is the inner most glass you see when the oven door is open. The unit also uses inner door glass part number WP4449263 that has a "rainbow" effect color to it and is 22" x 12". In front of that glass and the outer door glass assembly is inner door glass part number WP8300974, it is clear and measures 22" x 12". Hope this helps, thanks!

Ksam, You will need to check a few circuits at the timer and water temp. switch, with a multimeter. At the timer, you'll need to unplug the power cord, select the rinse cycle and pull out the timer knob, You should read a "closed" circuit between SW (blk) and 5B (blu) ibn the rinse setting on all three cycles. At the water temperature switch with any "cold" rinse setting You should read a "closed" circuit between terminals 7T (wht) and 3 (ylw) and 7T (wht) and 4(orng). You also want to disconnect the air tube from the water level switch and make sure it is not clogged with debris, by blowing in it. Here's some meter usage information, should you need it [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html]
