For Whirlpool Ice Dispenser Drum (Part Number: OEM9327561)

Ray for Model Number GD2LHGXKB00

Our original auger was plastic like shown in the diagram on your web site. I watched the video for replacing the drum. When he takes it apart there is a white plastic cover over the rear portion of the auger. Our plastic auger doesn't have a plastic cover and the metal auger the sent had the rear cylinder piece that fits in the rear hole of the bin but there was no cover. I cannot find a cover anywhere on your web site. Is the cover necessary?

JMS, You will want to check to make sure that the crush/cube solenoid is not stuck in the up position and make sure that the bin arm not under the solenoid which would not allow it to activate the cube portion of the dispenser. If these check ok then the issue will most likely be a bad crushed/cube solenoid which is located next to the auger motor. The part number for the solenoid is WP2152713.

Robert, No the end piece and sleeve would not come with the mold and metal screw. If the ones on your bin are still good then you can reuse them.

WM Day, You will want to check the ice door to check to make sure that there is no air leaking through the door. If there is then this would cause the ice build up.

Hello RJB, It sounds like you need the drive plate for the drum and the auger. Normally the drive plate hole will open up and when this happens it damages the auger. With a model number we would be able to provide more information.
