Jim March 20, 2012 for Model Number ap4360346 Is this item a 115V unit? Does it include everything but the front cover i.e., motor, controller, etc.?

Ed February 18, 2012 for Model Number 626662 Icemaker just quit working. Should I order a new one or something to check? Water is on. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ed. You will need to cycle the icemaker and test for power to the water valve and see if there is any power there when the icemaker cycles. It will only be there for a few seconds during the cycle. If there is power there, and the fill tube is not frozen, and no water comes in, replace the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Pete January 24, 2012 I have a kitchenAid side by side with an IceMagic Plus ice maker, when I took off the front cover the numbers on the contol box show 106 626662, after some research I was told that KitchenAid has changed that number to W10190965. When I look up that part number it shows that the wireing harness is attached to the ice maker. My harness comes out of the side of the fridge and plugs into the ice maker. Will the W10190965 fit my application?
1 Answer Hello Pete. Yes, you can remove the wire from the icemaker WPW10190965 to install your harness into the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
Holli January 13, 2012 for Model Number ED5KVEXVQ00 My ice maker fills with water and freezes the ice, but it does not dump without manually moving the arm. If I bump the arm down it will then cycle. With a jump wire we diagnosed that the thermostat is bad. Is it best to just replace the thermostat, or replace the entire ice maker? What, specifically, will I need to order? How difficult is this? Thanks!
1 Answer Holli, The thermostat part number is WP627985 You will need to dismantle the icemaker to replace it. It could be "tricky" and you'd have to be pretty careful. The icemaker is WPW10190965 and is quite a bit easier to replace, loosen a couple of mounting screws and remove the bottom support screw, and transfer the arm to the new icemaker. I would reccomend replace the icemaker, just for the ease of the repair, and longevity. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Bob November 28, 2011 for Model Number W10190965 & WRT138TFYW00 & SN: V313346808 On our new Whrilpool fridge, we turned down the temp control because food was freezing in the rear of the fridge compartment. When we did that, the ice maker started to make ice much, much slower. Is there a way adjust the temp between the freezer and fridge so that food won't freeze in the fridge area but the freezer stays cold enough to make ice faster? Fridge is model number WRT138TFYW00
1 Answer Hello Bob. It sounds like the thermostat WPW10584888 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the unit does not adjust to the proper temperature, the thermostat is bad. Hope this helps. Read More...
Bob L. November 28, 2011 for Model Number W10190965 We have a brand new Whirlpool fridge with the W10190965 ice maker. The ice maker only cycles through a few times a day rather than once every hour or two. Is there an adjustment to make the cycles go faster?
1 Answer Hello Bob. Check and make sure the temperature inside the freezer is around 0. If so, the only other thing you can do is replace the icemaker WPW10190965. Hope this helps. Read More...
Karen November 25, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool Refrigerator ED5VHGXML13 I am having a hard time getting the old icemaker out. It does not unplug easily from the inside of the refrigerator, as the replacements show. It was factory installed. Should I force the plug out of the side? I am going to try to only replace the control module, but that may not work, and then I will have to figure out how to take the old unit out.
1 Answer Karen, You may find it easier to dismount the icemaker first, (three screws) Loosen the two screws holding the icemaker mold to the wall at the top of the icemaker mold, remove the screw on the bottom, holding the mold to the wall. Slide the assembly up and off the top screws, and arrange the assembly so you can access the wire harness. There should be retainer clips on the top and bottom of the plastic connector, you need to press and release the retainer clips and carefully pull out on the connector, then remove the assembly. Trying to dislocate the harness from the side of the control module is another option, but be careful and don't damage the connector, and make sure you unplug the power cord or turn the power off to the fridge first, you don't want to short anything or shock yourself. You should remove the icemaker from the refrigerator, whenever you work on the icemaker, it's a lot easier, and more efficient. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...

Dose this sound accurate, and if so can i oder one the motor, and lastly is there a part# for this. Thank you for your time
