The Belt and Isolator Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This kit includes a drive belt and isolators that work together to transfer motion from the motor to the washer drum while dampening vibrations.

Over time, the belt can wear out, stretch, or break due to regular use, heavy loads, or friction. The isolators may also deteriorate, losing their ability to absorb shocks effectively.

Symptoms of a bad Belt and Isolator Kit include:

  • The drum not spinning or agitating
  • Excessive vibration or noise during operation
  • The washer failing to start or complete cycles

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Hello Frank. Here are the instructions for the problem your having from the manufacturer. Hope this helps. Check the door lock and make sure the lock light comes on. If not, replace the machine control board 12001725 and the wax motor WP22002119. If it does lock, check all the out of balance switches and make sure they are good, with no broken wires. If they are good, test the spin enable switch WP22002162 inside the latch assembly and make sure it is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Wendy! The belt part number listed sa 12001788 is the correct replacement neptune belt for your listed model MAH5500BWW. The 62722870 is a JAS supplier which we do not carry. However, AP4009041 is the correct Maytag/Whirlpool belt. I apologize for the confusion!
