1 Answer Hello Larry. If the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range (23°F to 217°F [-5°C to 103°C]) during the water-heating step of the WASH cycle. Possible Causes/Procedure 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check the water temperature sensor and the connection to it, and also check for condensation. Read More...
Michael V November 04, 2015 for Model Number Whirlpool Duet Steam WFW9500 On my whirlpool duet, I keep getting an F20 error at various times during the early wash cycle. Occasionally it will finish a load but seems to have gotten worse and now will not finish a load. I have checked hoses (old style ones), screens, and even cleaned the bottom drain by the pump and checked for any obstructions. I then ran a diagnostic test - C00 & C01 completed but right at the beginning of C02 the F20 code appeared. My Manuel tells me this is a dispenser motor issue. I went to get the part from a local shop and they convinced me this could not be the issue. What do you guys think?
1 Answer Michael, The F20 is a no water detected entering unit or the pressure switch has not tripped. The likelihood of the dispenser motor being the issue would be slim. It would more likely to be a issue with either the water valve not getting power but since it does sometimes run all the way through the pressure switch sounds like it is not resetting. Read More...
Edison September 02, 2015 for Model Number 110428222203 Have the kenmore front load I replaced all 3 component water inlet valve, water level, and flow meter. I still get the FH code.
1 Answer Hello Edison. It sounds like the unit is siphoning out the water in the unit. Check and make sure there is only 6" of drain hose in the drain pipe. Also, make sure the drain pipe is 36" off the floor in height. You will need to check and make sure the drain hose has an air gap going into the drain pipe. If it is air tight, it will siphon. David May 27, 2015 for Model Number wfw95hexw2 I have a whirlpool duet front loader model wfw95hexw2. I keep having a problem with it throwing error codes. The code come together. They are an F09 and E01. I have checked the drain in the door gasket. I have checked the pump filter. The pump seems to be pumping water just fine and there are no leaks. I have cleaned the dispencer tray.I have checked and cleaned the water inlet screen. I checked to make sure the drain hose and drain was clean. What else could it be? Help!
1 Answer David, The F9E1 code indicates an issue in the drain system "F9E1 LONG DRAIN" If you're sure there are no drain pump or drain hose issues, and the detergent is being used properly and not sudsing up, your next check should be " Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects. • Check connections from tub to air trap, air trap to pressure hose, and pressure hose to pressure sensor. • Is pressure hose pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air? If the pressure switch WPW10312527 or hose W11044559 doesn't reset to the empty setting the washer will also produce the F9E1 code Read More...
Kevin January 01, 2015 for Model Number GHW9250MQ0 My whirlpool front load washer has no water coming in. After a minute I get code fh. I have replace the water inlet valve and the ccu. The pressure switch and flow meter checked out ok, Im at a standstill. thanks
1 Answer Kevin, You will want to verify the drain pump operation, also check the pressure hose to make sure that it is in good condition. Make sure that there is not a siphoning issue going on. Verify the wire harness connections to the inlet valve, pressure switch, drain pump flow meter and CCU are all good firm connections. Check all hose for leaks. Read More...
Adam December 29, 2014 for Model Number 110 46742700 I get the F20 error intermittently and have noticed if it is going to give me the F20, it is only after it fills for more than 10 minutes. Other times, it seems to fill within 4-5 minutes and completes the cycle normally. Could this still be the flow meter? I have cleaned out the clean out tray behind the front access panel and checked the tube for the pressure switch for holes/leaks. I have also removed the water hoses and they seem to have plenty of pressure into a bucket and the inlet valve screens are clean. The other thing I am noticing is the fabric softener tray is full with water after a wash cycle. Not sure if this problem is related but I have cleaned the water openings above the dispenser tray and no change.
1 Answer Hello Adam. Possible Causes/Procedure If there is no water in the unit: Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves. Verify inlet valve operation. If there is water in the unit: Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Verify there is not a siphon problem. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, flow meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU). Check all hoses for possible leaks. Plug in washer or reconnect power. Verify pressure switch operation. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measuring the resistance. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. Read More...

Jamie M November 16, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool duet front load My washer gets the FH code very shortly after starting, not sure how to fix this, checked the trap to make sure it was clear.
1 Answer Jamie, The issue with the unit getting an FH error code is no water entering the unit. You will want to check to make sure that both valves are turned on at the supply. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses and screens. If this checks ok then verify voltage of 120 vac to the water valve. If the voltage tests ok and no water is coming into the unit then replace the valve. If this checks ok then check to make sure that the pressure hose is not clogged or damaged. Check the flow meter, drain pump, ccu, and pressure switch connections. If all checks ok then the control board is bad. Read More...
David October 06, 2014 for Model Number WFW9500TW01 Whirlpool Duet Washer, model no. WFW9500TW01. Water is flowing into tub but receive F-20 code approximately two minutes into cycle. Suspect flow meter. Pressure switch was replaced less than a year ago and pressure hose, drain lines, etc. are clear. No siphoning problem. Screens at inlet valve are clean. Could inlet valve still be the culprit if water is flowing and there are no leaks?
1 Answer Hello David. It does not sound like the valve. It sounds like the flow meter WPW10110225 or the pressure switch WPW10415587. Read More...
Kevin October 01, 2014 for Model Number MVWC6ESWW1 No water is going into the drum, I replaced the water inlet valve, confirmed that the flow meter is functioning by blowing through it and the hoses connected to it. What else am I to do? The repairman wants just about HALF of what it would take to buy another one (Brand New)!
1 Answer Hello Kevin, I would start off by checking for stopped up screens in the inlet hoses and the water valve WPW10175893. If they are clear, and the water valve is passing water, the flow switch WPW10176591 should be checked by blowing gently through it while your test meter is connected to the terminals. There should be a change in the resistance when blowing through it. If so, the issue will most be either the lid switch WP8318084 or the ATC switch WPW10248240. Read More...
