Floydl December 09, 2023 for Model Number WDF760SADB2 while running a wash cycle, water leaks from the bottom of the door. I checked drain line, it is clear. Checked drain pump, 34 ohms put 120v to it, seems ok. Checked circulating pump, 34 k ohms, can stop impeller with hand. Is this pump bad? Is there something else I need to check? Washer 7 years old.
1 Answer Floyd, Based on the information provided check the door gasket, and check the wash arm for splits and debris. Read More...
Aleya June 17, 2023 for Model Number KDFE104DSS0 Hi, Based on an earlier thread where you helped me diagnose our dishwasher issue, I bought the replacement circulation pump part that was recommended (W11032770). However, the replacement I received from you is registering no ohms on my digital multimeter (tried all the resistance settings plus the continuity beep test). I read that a working circulation pump should register 10-100 ohms with a multimeter. My old one (suspected bad) is also not registering any ohms, so I'm suspicious of this new replacement I've received. Can you please confirm that I should be seeing 10-100 ohms on a working piece? Thanks, Aleya
1 Answer Aleya, This motor can't be checked for resistance (it has a small electronic board inside the motor). You can check for power to the motor, if there is power to it and it does not run the motor is bad. If there is no power coming to the motor then the issue is something else. Read More...
Randy September 20, 2022 for Model Number WDF750SAYB1 After it fills, I hear nothing from the pump motor and no water reaches the arms. You mention that it could be either the pump motor or the diverter, but which one is more likely the problem? The lack of any noise beyond a faint hum makes it seem like the pump motor is the culprit.
1 Answer Randy, Check to see if there is 120 vac getting to the circulation pump. If there is then the circulation pump will be the issue. If there is not then the control board will be the cause of the unit not operating. Read More...
Randy September 20, 2022 for Model Number WDF750SAYB0 Dishwasher was not getting water. Not sure how long it was running dry, but then sat for 6 months. Replaced water inlet valve and now fills. But arms seem to never get water. Hear slight hum at that point, but no normal noise of running right. Drains well. Could the pump motor have gone bad from running dry?
1 Answer Hello Randy, The pump W11032770 could be the issue or there may be an issue with the diverter, diverter disc W10537869, or something in there preventing water circulation. Read More...
Cesar February 09, 2022 for Model Number 665.13039K113 my dishwasher fills but not washes, no water comes out of the arms. I removed the pump and connect it directly to 120V and it started, but when I do it by hand the motor is a little bit hard to move. could it be a bad pump or a bad sump? the drain works but no water comes out the arms.
1 Answer Cesar, it would be recommended that the motor W11032770 is tested for incoming voltage during a wash cycle. If proper voltage reaches the motor and it does not send water through the wash arms, the motor has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Justin Kunak July 15, 2021 for Model Number 665.14573N611 I have a kenmore dishwasher model number 665.14573N611.You push the button to turn dishwasher on and select the wash cycle you want and close the door and hit the start button again to start the dishwasher. The dishwasher fills and after that you hear all kind of clicking going on at bottom of dishwasher and that is it nothing else happens.it does not start washing or the arms donot start spinning on the inside of the dishwasher. After a short time,it drains itself and then fills itself again. It continues to do that while the cycle timer keep counting down till the end of the wash cycle.I am believing it is the dishwasher motor pump that is bad.I was checking to see if your might have any ideas on exactly what my problem could be Thanks so very much for your time.
1 Answer Justin, You will want to do a voltage check at the control board to make sure that power is being sent to the motor. If you open the door and access the control board, push the door lock onto the strike to make it think the door is closed, and test from the P5 connector pin 1 to pin 2. There should be 120 Vac at this point after the unit fills with water. If there is power then the wash motor is most likely the issue and if there is no power then the control board will be the issue. Read More...
Jeff July 13, 2021 for Model Number KEFE104DWH2 dishwasher starts, fills with water. spray arms not working. I checked the wash pump it is running but making funny noise. I checked the amperage draw and is bouncing bewteen .5 to 1.2 amps. The diverter motor does not appear to be running. No amperage draw on that motor.
1 Answer Jeff, Check to make sure that there is power to the diverter motor and if there is not then the issue will be a faulty motor. The diverter may be stuck between positions which would cause no water to flow to the arms. Read More...
Mike May 19, 2021 for Model Number 665.13262K112 i am looking at replacement pump motor, P/N AP6022492. Is this an OEM manufactured part? My repairman refuses to install and guarantee the part unless it is.
Rachel May 12, 2021 for Model Number WDT720PADM2 Our dishwasher will fill up but will not start. We had an appliance repair company come out to tell us it is the circulation pump. It is a very costly repair, so I was hoping that I could order the part myself and fix it. Is it a repair that is fairly easy and how do I go about finding the right part?
1 Answer Rachel, the circulation motor W11032770 would be used with the model provided and the repair can be relatively easy. With the power supply to the dishwasher turned off, the dishwasher can be pulled forward and rotated onto its back to allow for easy access to this motor. Read More...
Jassi November 12, 2020 for Model Number KDTE204ESS1 Control board replaced 3 months ago, no issues for 3 months then start getting 8-7-1error, would clear and it would work for 2 weeks and back to same error. This error did not make sense as when opened the door steam was coming out so the heating element was working fine. Then last week error was 8-2 implying drain, but there was no pool of water and pressing drain button could hear the water being pumped out. Anyway it then stopped cleaning, with no diagnostic error at all. So I had a backup control board and replaced the control module and no change in status. Water is coming in from the side but cant hear the spinning spouts and even opened middle of so called clean nothing inside spinning or wet. I can only suspect the pump is dead but this has been a major pain. Any help appreciated
1 Answer Hello Jassi, on this model, the control board will disable the heater if it detects certain operating problems. The first fault code referred to the drain pump having a problem, what can happen is part way thru the cycle the drain pump overheats and trips its internal thermostat, the control board will detect that problem, and generate the code, once cooled the drain pump may operate again. With the circulation/wash pump not working on some models, there may no be a code for it showing, but obviously, it is not working, in that case, the Motor /Pump is part W11032770 and the drain pump is WPW10348269. The control board can be reset by running the Service Diagnostics Cyle as per the Tech Sheet that came with your model. Read More...
