I have a Maytag Bravos XL top load washer with the glass top (so I can see what's happening). It just recently started overfilling the dispensers -soap, fabric softener and bleach - they overfill and dump it over the side which ends up dripping down the outside of the tub. It seems to start filling the dispenser normally and then it's like the pressure doubles and it's just too much for the dispensers capacity. It started doing it just to the fabric softener and now it's all three. i am assuming there is a valve or sensor that has gone bad. Ideas? Otherwise, it operates normally, I just have to wipe up the floor everytime I use it.

When I turned the washer on it filled the tank real fast(warm/cold water cycle) then when it went to the rinse cycle and water is suppose to refill the tank it was only filling with cold water only at a really slow rate..no hot water was being filled and a humming noise was occurring. it took a good 15 minutes to fill. it was working fine in the first cycle of the wash but once it got to the rinse cycle very little water was being pushed through.

Stanley, You will need to disconnect the hoses from the washer and the faucets, remove and clean all the sediment and debris from the filter screens in the fill hose and in the end of the inlet valve, you can also replace them if you decide to. You will also need to flush the water supply lines and faucets(run the faucets a minute or so, until the water is clear) The rinse cycle in your washer is automatically "cold" water(energy efficiency) and the cold supply has more sediment in it than the hot water supply, so it will flow at a less rate and pressure, causing the solenoid to "buzz" and require a lot more time to fill the tub.

I recently replaced the drain pump and the bearings, shaft, and seal, now when I start the washer it runs through the first cycle then gives an over load code no matter how many or how few clothes I have in it, I can manually advance it to the next cycle it will run that cycle and give another over load code. Any idea what might be the problem, is it the sensor? What part do I need?

Hello Hopk. Make sure nothing is stuck between the inner and outer tub assembly.

In the normal wash mode, washer starts to do normal things. When it goes into the fill mode it will continue to fill to the top of the drum, at that time the clock changes for 40 min time remaining to 4 minutes and then drains completing passing the wash mode. After it drains, it will start to spin and then give an "OL" code (I had 1 queen sheet in drum) a service tech was out and changed the board (pn 10051176 rev b) twice and it did not fix anything. HELP thank you .

Dennis, The OL is for an overloaded washer. Of course with the water filling too high then you will want to check the pressure switch and pressure hose to make sure that they are not clogged.

The washer has worked great for about 4 1/2 years but has recently become very noisy when in the spin mode. The faster it gets, the louder it is. It spins the clothes almost dry. There is very little vibration. I don't see any bearings listed anywhere in the parts breakdown. Help???

Hello Jabo. You will need to replace the outer tub assembly W10193886. It has the bearings already installed into it. For just the bearings, You need to order part numbers W10435302 and W10447783 to repair the unit.

Kenmore elite washer. Gets to spin cycle and stops. The water does not pump out. I replaced the motor/control panel and it did not fix problem. How do I determine if it is the pump or sensor? I did not check the ohms. I ran the check and it stops at C8. Any suggestions/help?

Hello Justin. Remove the hose from the pump and see if it is blocked or clogged. If not, test for power to the pump. If there is power there, and it does not run, replace the pump on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. This a top loader . In the spin cycle it has become very loud. The washer functions properly ,just way to noisy. I suspect it is a bearing but I don't see it in the parts break down.
