This motor stator is the stationary windings for a direct-drive washer motor. Working with the rotor, it creates the magnetic field that turns the basket. Replacing a failed stator restores consistent wash and spin performance. What it does

  • Provides the fixed windings for the direct-drive motor
  • Works with the rotor to spin and tumble the basket
  • Failure can cause no spin/tumble, intermittent movement, or loud humming
  • May lead to motor/speed-related error codes and cycle shutdowns
What's included
  • 1 motor stator assembly
Install notes
  • Disconnect power before servicing; allow moving parts to stop
  • Access is typically from the rear; remove the rotor to expose the stator
  • Handle the rotor's strong magnets carefully and keep metal objects clear
  • Route and seat the wiring exactly as original; tighten mounting bolts evenly

Tracy, You're correct, your washer does not have a transmission, but your does have a tub bearing and shaft assembly. We'll send you some service information so you can remove the agitator and tub to check and make sure theres no issues with the "drive hub" or W10820039 or agitator, and can access the shaft and bearing to check. Thanks and Good Luck

Ken, the only way to prevent small items from getting into the drain pump is to purchase a laundry bag W10180464RP and place all small items in the bag when washing. Thanks!

Gary for Model Number WTW6200SW1

when im washing the machine works normally untill the machine reaches its spin cycle, towards the end of the spin cycle, the machine stops and gives code F54. Im thinking i have a bad stator cause it fails after the spin cycle is almost done., is it common for the stator to go bad? or is it more common for the rotor to go bad?. I dont think i have a wiring issue do to the fact that the machine works normally until it gets hot from the spin cycle. the basket turns freely.

Gary, Does the washer make any strange noises before the code appears, you may have a tub bearing issue? also check and insure there are no small articles stuck between the tubs, and that you maintain at least 108 VAC at the outlet when the motor starts and runs. If all's OK, you'll need to lay the washer on it's back and check the rotor 280146and shield W10183157 for cracks, breaks, warpage and loose wiring connections. Good Luck and Thanks

Hello David. Check the magnets and see if any of them are cracked or broke. If so, you will need to replace the rotor 280146. If they are good, then the stator WPW10419333 may be the issue. Hope this helps.

Kevin, The motor/stator resistance is "on the money" at 31 O's. We pretty much have it down to a "drag" on the tub or a bad control board WPW10189966 . Check for articles stuck between or under the tubs and wash plate/ impeller, first." 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Raise the cabinet top 3. To remove the basket: a) Loosen the clamp and pull the recirculation hose off the tub ring. b) Pry out and unsnap the tub ring tabs from the tub and remove the tub ring. c) Insert the blade of a small screwdriver into the slot in the impeller cap, then pry the cap up, and remove it. d) Remove the 7/16? hex-head bolt from the impeller, then lift and remove the impeller from the basket. NOTE: Lifting the basket will assist in removing the impeller. e) Lift the basket out of the washer." check and clean any debris etc from the tub and check the drive shaft and seal for excess wear. Thanks and Good Luck
