The Suspension Spring Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This kit includes multiple springs that support the washer tub, helping to absorb shocks and reduce vibrations during the wash cycle, ensuring smooth and stable operation.

Causes of a bad suspension spring can include wear and tear over time, heavy loads, or unbalanced loads that put excessive strain on the springs. Damaged or worn springs can lead to increased movement and instability, affecting the washer’s performance and potentially causing damage to other components.

Symptoms of a bad suspension spring include:

  • Excessive shaking or vibrating during the wash cycle
  • The washer tub appearing out of alignment or sagging
  • Loud banging noises during operation
  • The washer moving or "walking" across the floor

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Jan, There is no " compatible part number " for the Suspension Spring Kit W10247710 / W10247710. The W10198919 / W10198919 Suspension Rod Ball and Bushing Kit is the only individual suspension part available for the model number you supplied. The remainder of the suspension parts have been replaced by the manufacturer with the W10247710 suspension spring kit. Thanks,

Brittany for Model Number Whirlpool wtw7600xw2

I have a whirlpool wtw7600xw2 . The UL error which apparently means off balance continues to show with 10 minutes left in the cycle . I understand changing the suspension rods is likely a fix to this issue . My question is, is the suspension spring kit the same as a suspension rod kit ? The kit associated with my model number is a suspension spring kit versus a suspension rod kit so I want to make sure this is basically the same thing and changing the suspension springs will fix the issue . Thanks

Hello Brittany, for your model number the unit does use a suspension spring kit versus shocks. Hope this helps!
