Kirk February 03, 2022 for Model Number medb835dw0 Coming up with AF code airflow. I have checked the duct and it has proper airflow. What could it be?
1 Answer Hello Kirk, This is most likely the dryer thermistor WP8577274. It should be noted that the ducting from the back of the dryer to outside atmosphere should be checked for a full 4-inch inner diameter with no clogs, crimps, or restrictions. Read More...
1 Answer Mark, The thermistor is a safety device and cannot be eliminated from the unit. Read More...
Tim October 23, 2021 for Model Number MED5500FW0 Dryer will not start, check lint screen light flashing. Lint system has been cleaned out, same problem. Can hear relay click when i push the start button. Can thermistor or safety fuse on blower duct be bad?
1 Answer Tim, the thermal fuse W10909685 can cause this issue and it can be tested for continuity when the dryer power cord is unplugged. If it does not have continuity, it has failed. Read More...
Amy October 18, 2021 for Model Number 110.68132410 Dryer turns on and begins to start, then stops and error codes F4/E1 appear. What do you think the problem is please?
1 Answer Amy, it would be recommended that the main control W10802463 is tested for 240VAC from the black wire to the red wire coming from the wire terminal block with a meter. If there is 240VAC, the main control has failed. If there is not, the terminal block would need to be tested to see if voltage is there as this will identify if the voltage issue is in the wiring harness or somewhere else. Read More...
1 Answer Jim, the error F01 is going to indicate a failure in the primary control WPW10110641. Read More...

Mark Mccarthy July 03, 2021 for Model Number 110.97089601 Dryer will not turn on. Found a bad thermal cutout and bypassed but didn’t come on. Light works and shuts off when door closes.
1 Answer Mark, Check the other thermostats on the unit to make sure that they are good. Check to make sure that there is 120 vac coming from the timer to the motor. If there is power from the timer to the motor then the motor will be the issue. Read More...
Edward April 05, 2021 for Model Number GEW9200LWO Machine runs, then flashes a code F3E2 check thermistor showing 9400 ohms.
1 Answer Edward, with the power supply cord unplugged, it would be recommended that the thermistor is tested from the main control WP8546219 as this will allow the identification of if the failure is a wire issue or a main control issue. The red wire with a white stripe and the black wire immediately next to it at connection P2 will be used. If the resistance shows the same, the failure is in the main control (unfortunately, the main control has been discontinued and is no longer available). If the resistance shows 0 or OL, the failure is in one of the wires. Unfortunately, the main harness 8299926 has been discontinued but it could possibly be repaired using a hi-temp connector if the wires do not have a loose connection. Read More...
Aaron January 11, 2021 for Model Number Whirlpool GGW9250PL3 The dryer was not heating at all. I replaced the thermal fuse and now some of the cycles are producing heat but not all of them. I was wondering what else might be wrong or what other part needs to be replaced so all the cycles will produce heat. Thanks!
1 Answer Aaron, With some cycles heating and others not then this would most likely be a faulty main control board that is the problem. Read More...
