Dan December 08, 2013 for Model Number WTW7800XW4 I purchased the tub assembly with bearing, W10310957. Taking it out of the box, I heard slushing of liquid inside the tub assembly...is this ok? I stopped all repair work. Should the liquid be there, and do I need to drain it out prior to installing into the washer?? Is here a service manual to help with the tub replacement? thank you for your help. DAN
Robert November 14, 2013 for Model Number 110.27072603 Hi. Is the bearing assembly available for this washing machine without buying the tub as well Thanks
Tony P November 01, 2013 for Model Number WTW6600SW3 My Cabrio washer (WTW6600SW3) needs bearing replacement. Is there a kit for just the bearings on this model or do I need the complete outer-tub assembly? txs Tony
1 Answer Tony, At present you have the option of the outer tub assembly W10193886 which has all the components needed(tub, seal, shaft, and bearings), or the bearing kit W10435302(shaft, bearings and seal) and tool W10447783. We anticipate the outer tub assembly becoming no longer available once stock has been depleted. Read More...
Bryan F. October 15, 2013 for Model Number WTW6400SW0 I repeatedly get the uL code and washer vibrated a LOT in the final spin, regardless of the spin speed or load size. I think my bearing are in tact, but the shaft is extremely worn where the inner tub/basket should set and it does not move up and down freely. There was excessive rust and gunk in that area also. 1. Should I replace the whole outer tub? 2. Should I replace the suspension spring? 3. How do I know if the metal rings of the basket (where the shaft goes) are bad?
1 Answer Hello Bryan. if the shaft is worn and rusted, replace the outer tub assembly. I would recommend replacing the shocks on the washer. As for the metal ring, look at it for damage. If rusted or damaged, replace the ring. Read More...
John October 15, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore 11027092600 My washer is making a howling noise when spinning. I believe the bearings are going bad and need replacing. I've read on other forums where there is now a bearing kit that can be installed rather than replacing the outer tub assembly with the bearings & rod pre-installed. Will parts W10435302 and the tool W10447783 work for my unit?
1 Answer Hello John. yes, they will work, but you need to order both to do the job properly. Read More...
Itstechpro September 27, 2013 for Model Number MVWB400VQ The bearings are getting noisier on spin cycle and need to be replaced will the W10435302 shaft, bearing and seal kit fit the outer tub on this model? It appears to fit the MVWB400VQ0 but I don't know what the difference is between the VQ and VQ0 ??
1 Answer Hello! The numbers at the end of Whirlpool models are engineering codes, meaning something on the model has changed. What that is, we do not know. However, if your model is MVWB400VQ you can use model MVWB400VQ0. Just make sure no other numbers are on the model tag plate, maybe spaced out from the model number a little bit. Yes the bearing kit W10435302 will work on your model. You'll also need the tool part number W10447783 to complete the repair. Thanks! Read More...
Jim September 11, 2013 for Model Number WTW6800WW1 Sounds like the bearings are out in my outer tub, I see where some models the bearings can be replaced with out replacing the tube? Can my model be replaced? WTW6800WW1
Stacy September 05, 2013 for Model Number WTW6300SW0 I have a 6-year-old Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6300SW0. During the spin cycle, it has a loud noise that has gotten progressively louder over the last month or so. If we lift the lid and spin the tub by hand, we can hear a grinding noise. My husband is a mechanic, and he said it sounds like bad bearings to him. Is that what it sounds like to you? Can we just buy the bearings for our washer, or do we have to buy the whole outer tub assembly (part no. W10193886)? Are there any other parts we might need?
1 Answer Hello Stacy. You will need to order the bearing W10435302 and the tool W10447783 as well to repair the unit. Read More...
Mar September 02, 2013 for Model Number WTW6700TW1 got the parts to replace the bearings but when I pulled out the shaft the upper bearings fell apart now the outer ring on the bearing is stuck/rusted to the outer basket. I have tried to use a dremel and work it out but it's really stuck! What do you suggest I do?
1 Answer Hello Mar. You must use the tool W10447783 and press the bearing out of the tub assembly. Read More...
Wayne August 29, 2013 for Model Number WTW6700TU1 I have replaced the outer tub and reassembled the machine. The machine does not agitate. It only spins in on direction during wash cycle. I removed the wash plate but did not remove the hub. Then I tried lifting the wash basket. There is some play between the hubs. its like something is missing between the outer tub and the wash basket. Any advice as to what may have installed incorrectly wrong? Thanks
1 Answer Wayne, You will want to access the tech sheet and run a diagnostic to see if there are any error codes. This will give you a starting point for what may be going on. Also pull the hub and check to make sure that the hub is not damaged. A damaged hub will cause the unit to not agitate. Read More...
