Rueben December 29, 2013 for Model Number MTW6600TQ0 Maytag Bravos washer is getting loader during spin cycle and recently noticed water on floor after cycle completes. Suspect seal failure and bearing going bad. For model MTW6600TQ0 what is the quickest method to repair? I understand the bearing and seal were only available with the outer tub as a complete unit. Other info states the bearing, seal and shaft are available as a kit using required press tool to install. Please confirm which is correct for this model. Is PS3501622 the part # for this Maytag washer or what is the correct part #? Thanks, Rueben
1 Answer Rueben, The quickest repair would be to replace the outer tub W10193886. You are able to replace the bearing W10435302 for the unit which would also require the bearing tool W10447783 in order to install which does take longer to do the repair. Read More...
Shawn December 22, 2013 for Model Number wtw6600sw2 Had very loud noises during the spin cycle, the "jet engine". Bought the bearing kit but the new drive shaft will not go in the tub. No matter how hard you hammer. Also the outer tub had water and a oily residue in it. Is a new outer tub the best way to go? And does that include the bearing assembly and all?
1 Answer Shawn, You would want to make sure that you have the tool for installing the bearing kit which is part number W10447783 but if you want to go with the outer tub then yes it will have the bearings and shaft all in the tub. Read More...
