Jorge, You say the igniter comes on and glows, and stays glowing, it never cycles off ? in that case you have a problem with the radiant/flame sensor WP338906 This switch opens the coils and releases the gas for ignition. The igniter needs to produce a heat range of 2300 to 2500 degrees, it only takes a few seconds( 10 to 15 seconds on average) to reach temperature and the radiant sensor will open the circuit, the igniter will start to fade, and the gas should be released and ignite. No you cannot adjust the flame size or burn time by adjusting the regulator cap. The regulator pressure is preset at the factory for the national standart of Gas Supply company(s). As long as your operating your dryer on Natural Gas you don't need to touch the regulator. Thanks and Good Luck

Hi Rich. At first it almost sounded like the flame sensor is defective. Part # WP338906, it acts as asimilar as an electric cycling thermostat regulating heat. When you said @ the small / chattering flame then you need to replace the gas valve part # is WP306176. The diaphram is weak and at fault. Thank you.

Carl, No the gas valve does not need to be replaced, your first option should be to disconnect the exhaust vent from the back of the dryer and run the dryer empty, and check for the heat process for a few(15-20 minutes) You may have a clogged exhaust vent system and are cycling the safety thermostat, due to the wrong air flow in the dryer. You may also have a weak set of gas valve coils 279834 if the unit stops releasing the gas for ignition and burn, Thanks and Good Luck

Marco, You first need to disconnect the exhaust vent and check for the ignition and burner operation and burn time. You may have a weak set of gas valve coils, but the burner will not ignite after several ignition cycles if that were the case.
