Gary August 08, 2012 for Model Number MAH4000AWW My MAH4000AWW fills fine, a lot of water pressure. Once the timer moves to the first rinse cycle and goes to fill the water trickles in very slowly eventually the tub does not fill within a certain amount of time the safety mechanism kicks in and stops the washer. I have checked and removed both inlet screen (clean). I have done continuity checks on the coils of the inlet valves and they seem to be okay. The Control board show know signs of burnt components. I have kind of narrowed it down to either control board or Inlet valves. Is there a definitive test I do to isolate the problem? or could it be something else? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Hello Gary. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve WP22002795 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
John E. June 08, 2012 for Model Number mah4000awq When not in use, water fills in tub slowly. In 2 to 3 days there is about 3 inches of water in the tub.
1 Answer Hello John, The water valve has an internal leak. As long as you have good water pressure and the screens are not stopped up with mineral deposits and/or sedimentation from the water supply, you will need to replace the water inlet valve WP22002795. Read More...
Johns May 02, 2012 for Model Number MAH5500AWW How do you get to the water valve to check if the screens are clogged? Do you need to remove parts of the rear cabinet? (My Neptune stops at each stage of the rinse cycle, both for cold or hot wash, but continues normally if I keep pushing the start button)
1 Answer Hello John. Just remove the hoses off the back of the washer and you can see the screens inside the water valve WP22002795. Read More...
Christexan May 01, 2012 for Model Number mah4000aww My Neptune washer stops at two points during the fill cycle and then during the rinse cycle. Once the start button is pushed, the washer functions normally. I spoke with a local tech who suggested the problem might be that the washer is filling too slowly and that the washer automatically shuts down. Recently, I noticed that the detergent was not being completely washed into the system indicating that the flow was restricted. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance!
1 Answer Hello Christexan. Check and make sure the screens in the valve and in the hoses are not clogged. If they are clear, and the water is not filling properly, you will need to replace the water valve WP22002795 on the unit. Read More...
Mcross January 10, 2012 for Model Number MAH4000AWW Neptune Maytag Washer, only cold water available for washing and rinsing. Have checked hoses and filters. There's no obstruction or flow issues and there's plenty of hot water coming from the hose. Does this require a new flow valve or is it a control panel issue?
1 Answer Hello Mcross. It sounds like the water valve WP22002795 is bad and will need to be replaced. Test for power to the hot valve. If there is power there and it does not bring in hot, replace the valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Brad August 06, 2011 for Model Number mah4000aww My neptune washer won't fill with water. When it comes time to put in water, it squirts for a brief second then stops. I recently put in a new motor and motor control board kit, and it worked perfectly for about a month. So i don't know if I need a new water valve assembly or if the water valve is not getting the signal strong enough to hold the water valve coils in? Do I need a water valve assemnbly or the control board that sends the signal to it?
1 Answer Brad, It's not likely you need a water valve, at this point. You do want to test the water level/pressure switch 22002994 and control board WP22002989 , and wiring before you go with a fill valve. Good Luck. Read More...
Tim June 12, 2011 for Model Number MAH4000AWW My washer will not rinse. I checked the hoses the are good and clean. The tub will not rinse with cold water. The hot line will when washing.
1 Answer Hello Tim. If the cold water valve is not working, you will need to replace the water valve WP22002795. Test and make sure there is power coming to the cold water valve. Maytag Owner May 17, 2011 for Model Number MAH4000AWW : Need blue section water intake valves of AP4027591 My Maytag Neptune washer's cold water intake valve where the cold water hose line hooks onto the washer is stripped. It's just cheap plastic and the blue plastic thread has stripped down at the beginning and I cannot get the hose to connect properly without leaking. I don't want to buy the entire Part Number AP4027591. I don't need the white/bone colored back section. I just need that blue section with the hot/cold intake valves that stick out the rear of the washer for the water lines to connect. Can I buy just that water valve line blue section? If so, how much? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Maytag owner. They only sell this as an assembly. They do not offer just the water valve. Thanks. Read More...
