John October 26, 2011 for Model Number LSQ9544KQ0 It is a Whirlpool washing machine. Model number LSQ9544KQ0. Problem is when it goes into the final spin the water will be running in like it is in the rinse cycle. Needless to say the clothes come out soaking wet. We have been shutting the water off at the spigot but it is hard on my wife . After reading all the Q & A on your site I think it might be the water value. Help save my marriage and the cost of a new washer. Thanks
1 Answer Hello John. Test and see if there is power coming to the water valve 285805 during the spin cycle. If there is no power, and water is coming in, you will need to replace the water valve. However, if there is power there, then you may have a bad timer WP3951702 and the timer may need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
John October 25, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool ultimate care ll ,model ?? Read all the questions and could not find our problem. On spin cycle (not the rinse cycle) water will continue to fill the tub as if it was on a rinse or fill cycle. After it finishes the spin cycle naturally the clothes are soaking wet. We have been shutting the water off at the on/off valve when it is ready to spin but my wife is having trouble turning the valve. Help save my marriage (and the price of a new washer)
1 Answer Hello John. We will need your model number to help you with this. Thanks. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Holly October 20, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool Duet Washer About halfway through the wash cycle (hot, cold or warm) the washer stops and gives the "FH" code on the control panel. We have cleaned the screens (hot water screen had quite a bit of build up), replaced the pressure switch, cleaned the pump filter and changed the water line hoses. We are STILL getting the FH code. Do you think the inlet valve could be the issue? Don't know what else to check... Appreciate any ideas, Holly
1 Answer Hi Holly. Are both house water valves on? No kinks in hoses. Unhook the pressure sw. hose and blow back in towards the tub. Did you feel any obstruction pushed into the tub? This may reset the pressure sw. If all this is OK, then change the water valve part # 285805. Thank You. Read More...
Bob October 20, 2011 for Model Number KAWE570B Water slow on filling up on rince cycle & sometimes runs out while filling up. Also I think its slower filling up on wash cycle than it used to do.
1 Answer Hello Bob. If the water continues to run in, and does not shut off, you will need to replace the water valve 285805. Also, slow filling is a sign of a bad water valve as well. Hope this helps. Read More...
Tracy S. October 14, 2011 for Model Number lat5916aae Will this water fill valve fit a maytag washer? My washer will fill up. But it won't stop filling up. Could this fix my problem?
1 Answer Hello Tracy. We will need your serial number to determine which valve is the correct water valve. If you can stop the water by unplugging the machine or turning the machine off, you will need to replace the pressure switch and hose. If you have to turn the water off to stop the water, you will need to replace the water valve. Hope this helps. Read More...

Marc October 02, 2011 for Model Number Kenmore 110.98575800 Once the washing cycle is completed, the washing machine continues to take on water and after a few hours, there is about four or five inches of water inside the tub. Could it be a Valve? Which valve?

Ackerson September 30, 2011 for Model Number 9892770314 When going to start the washing machine no hot or cold water will fill up, but all spin cycles works. Could this be a water valve problem?
1 Answer Hello Ackerson. Test and see if there is power coming to the water valve to fill the machine. If so, and the water does not work, replace the water valve 285805. If there is no power to the water valve, you may have a bad pressure switch W10339326. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
John S. September 25, 2011 for Model Number LSR7233HQ0 Hot water only fills okay, cold water only fills okay, warm water selection causes the cold water pressure to pulse. Would this be a problem with the fill valves, or is there a mixing valve that could cause this? Thanks.
1 Answer HJi John. You will need to replace the water valve assy. part # is 285805. Flush out your supply hoses into a bucket also. Keep- both- house supply valves on 95%. Thank you. Read More...
Dwpeoples September 23, 2011 for Model Number 10182983120 I have a Kenmore Ultra Fabric Care Heavy Duty 80 Series top loading washing machine. The Electric Temperature Control has 3 settings, Warm-Warm; Cold-Cold; Warm-Cold; and the Water Temperature Control has 6 settings: Hot-Warm, Warm-Warm; Cold-Cold; Warm-Cold; Hot-Cold and Warm-Cold. Regardless of which of the 9 setting is used the only water used in the wash and rinse cycles is HOT. What is the SOLUTION: Clean something, what? Replace somethingm what? I just remembered I have not checked the valves on the water inlets, but the person from whom we purchased the used washer installed it and I'm sure he turned on the cold water valve.
1 Answer Hello Dwpeoples. You really need to take pliers, a bucket and a towel to the back hoses of the machine. Turn the water valves off. Use a mirror/ flashlight to see if the hoses were hooked correctly according to the stamped markings on the back of the cabinet. Unhook them from the machine one by one and flush them out making sure the water is of good pressure. Clean out any debris on the inlet valve screens. Water valve is part # 285805. Keep both house valves on/ balancing pressure so water is mixed correctly. In between the water valve and the fill flume is a water inlet temperature sensor part # is 3352282. This part senses temperature so the water valve correctly sends the correct temp. Thank you. Read More...
