The Whirlpool refrigerator dual solenoid icemaker water inlet valve is an OEM replacement part responsible for controlling the water flow to the refrigerator's icemaker. It is typically located at the back of the refrigerator, near the bottom, where the water supply line connects to the refrigerator. The water valve receives signals from the refrigerator's control board to open and close, allowing water to flow into the icemaker.

The Whirlpool water inlet valve can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

This part fixes the following symptoms:

  • Failure to make ice or limited ice production
  • Loud or unusual noises coming from the water valve

For Whirlpool Water Valve (Part Number: OEM9310407)

Julie for Model Number whirlpool ed25rqxxw00

I need to replace the water valve on my whirlpool ed25rqxxw00 ice maker. I see your part number AP3103466 as my replacement part but I am concerned because when I look at the one I have the metal lead plugs above the soleniod are different sizes and your metal lead plugs are the same size. So I am reluctant to order it because I don't know if it will fit. When I check partselect.com their part PS358630 appears to have the metal lead plugs that are two sizes like mine. I appreciate your input. Thanks, Julie
