Ct August 19, 2011 for Model Number ARSE66ZBC My Amana ice maker leaks when refilling. The leak is a slow drip coming from the front right corner.
1 Answer Hi Ct. You will need to make sure your fridge is level from side to side and front to back. Also level the ice maker. The water valve will get weak and not close all the way. Allowing the water to trickle up the back wall fill tube and into the ice maker. The water valve is part # 4318046. Thank you. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Guille! We will need your appliance model number to verify this information. However, typically the water valves are location on the back lower portion of the refrigerator. Thanks. Read More...

Tom August 01, 2011 for Model Number ED25SM Moved into an apartment with a Whirlpool refrigerator. Water wasn't connected to unit. Hooked water up to dual valve on back of refrig and have pressure. However there is no water coming to dispenser or icemaker. Valve is also slightly leaking. Is the valve likely bad?
1 Answer Tom, That's a very good and most likely place to start 4318046 I would also check the freezer door hinge wire harness, it may have been disconnected by someone. Thanks Read More...
Sanjeev July 31, 2011 for Model Number GE Whirlpool ED25PQXFW00 Our water from the water dispenser keeps leaking even after the you stop pushing the lever. We collected 3-5 gallons of water to take out any bubbles. Still the problem persists. I plan to replace the water valve next. Would Water Valve part AP3103466 fit my model? I checked that my model does not have quick disconnects, but screw fitting. One nice video on youtube has Whirlpool Part# 4389177. Are they the same? Thanks for your help, Sanjeev.
1 Answer Hello Sanjeev! No, 4389177 is not the same water inlet valve as the one called for our Whirlpool Refrigerator model ED25PQXFW00. For your model you will need to use part number 4318046. Thanks! Read More...
Kevin July 02, 2011 I have problems with the chamber that funnels the water into the ice tray (not the tube, the chamber the tube empties into) freezing up and then water overflowing into the ice recepticle/dispenser. I have replaced the feeder tube and the ice maker and still have the issue. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Kevin. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve 4318046 is leaking slowly and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Stu June 12, 2011 for Model Number ED22TQ Our ice maker is working but very little water goes into the tray. Is there something frozen in the lines? How would I defrost it? Or do I need a new water inlet valve? Is that something I can replace myself? Or is there some other problem?
1 Answer Hello Stu. Low water pressure could have a few causes on your unit. First, you will want to check for frozen water lines on the back of the freezer. A hair dryer can be used to thaw any build up. You may also want to ensure you are getting full pressure from the water source. If these two things check out, you would need to test your water valve itself. This can be done with a multi meter MA-DM1. I will include a link in this message detailing how to test various parts with a meter. I hope this info helps! http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
1 Answer Hello Arlon! What is part number 2182016? This is not pulling in our systems. May we have your appliance model number to help verify if this inlet valve will work on your product? Thanks! Read More...
Dan C. June 02, 2011 for Model Number ED25DQXAB00 I came into the house and found water running out of the freezer. Apparantly the ice maker fill valve stuck in the open position, or perhaps just did not close completely. I shut off the water to the icemaker and the flow stopped. If I replace the water valve will that fix this?
1 Answer Hello Dan. Check and make sure the icemaker is not stuck in the fill mode. If it is sending voltage to the water valve, then you will need to replace the icemaker 4317943. If not you will need to replace the water valve 4318046. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Mark May 24, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool ED22PW I removed my ice bin to clean it and put it back in and lowered the ice level wire to start the ice maker (when the ice bin is full the wire lever is in the up position). I hear the ice maker making its cycle but no water is flowing into the tray where it will freeze. How can I check to see if the tube is frozen and if it is not frozen, what is the next thing I can do. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Mark. You will need to visually check and see if the tube is frozen. If it is clear, you will need to replace the water valve 4318046. Hope this helps. Read More...
