Larry May 16, 2011 for Model Number AP3103466 I have just replaced my dual-valve water valve kit with all new lines. I can get water from the dispenser but the icemaker does not make ice. I have verified water to the icemaker and when I activate the icemaker lever, I do not hear any water flow from the valve to fill the tray. Is there a electrical diagram for the wire plugs to make sure I have them connected correctly?
1 Answer Hello Larry. There should be a wiring diagram on the refrigerator. You will need to check and make sure the fill tube to the icemaker is not froze up. If so, you will need to thaw it out. Hope this helps. Read More...
Scott May 01, 2011 for Model Number Kenmore Coldspot 106.58212400 There is no electrical power at the water valve electrical terminals when the ice maker switch is activated. Therefore we have no ice being made. In order to check the integrity of the water valve, an external electrical supply was connected to the water valve terminals which resulted in water flowing in to the ice maker. From this we deduce that the water valve is okay. What causes the electrical supply to get to the terminals of the water valve?
1 Answer Hello Scott! The icemaker sends a signal to the valve. It seems that you will need a new ice maker, part number 4317943. Thanks. Read More...
Jeff April 27, 2011 for Model Number ED5CHQXKQ00 We have a reverse osmosis water that we have hooked up to the ice maker and drinking water to this frig. The water froze in the fill tube the first time we hooked it up and now will not fill the ice tray. What can cause this? Also the water comes out of the water tap very slowly and trickles for a few seconds after you you stop filling a glass. Are these related?
1 Answer Hello Jeff. Yes, you can not run a reverse osmosis water supply to the refrigerator. It needs a constant 25 psi water pressure at a minimum to operate correctly. Hope this helps. Read More...
Sam April 26, 2011 There is no water coming to my whirlpool ice maker (does not make ice) but you can get water from the dispenser. I'm thinking the water supply valve maybe bad?

Tim April 26, 2011 for Model Number KitchenAid KSRS27QDWH01 When cycling, water continues to flow into the ice maker for a few seconds and spills into the ice cube storage bin (which then leaks into the ice dispenser). Is it the water valve? Also, the ice chopper which is activated on the outside of the freezer door has not worked when testing the icemaker with only a few cubes in the bin. The water dispenser has continued to work. Is this a second problem or does it automatically stop working when the bin is almost empty?
