This air damper assembly controls airflow between the freezer and fresh-food compartments so the refrigerator maintains even temperatures. Replaces a failed or stuck damper to restore proper air distribution and temperature balance. What it does:

Opens and closes to regulate cold air flow into the fresh-food section.
