21 month old Frigidaire upright freezer died. John P. • Enola , PA • August 02, 2019
Noticed Rolls on the top shelf no longer frozen, though the meat around it still was. Note: This is a good test, keep something that thaws quickly and is not expensive on top shelf, to act as a barometer for your freezer health!
I first found a trip online to advance the defrost timer, as a failed timer is a common issue. I advanced the timer, but nothing happened. I emptied the freezer, then removed the thermostat and tested it. No continuity! With the Freezer continuing to thaw, I...

This was for a friend of mine his refrigerator stopped cooling Gary G. • Ofallon , MO • July 12, 2015
This was a 2000 model so rather than just replace the defrost timer which was visibly burnt on the terminals, we just did everything. The cold control, defrost timer, thermostat, defrost heater and the compressor capacitor were all replaced. I had the same issue on my older unit and tore it apart replacing one item at a time over a three month period so on an older one i suggest do it all while it is apart.

The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven Kevin Scott W. • Parker , CO • January 09, 2015
Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old...

1: loud noise on freezer side. 2: no water dispensing Matt M. • Pickett , WI • February 05, 2021
1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. One of the signs of this issue was a distinct change in sound when I opened the freezer door. I ordered a new motor and blade, not knowing exactly what it was.
2. I couldn't get water to dispense, so I changed the filter and that wasn't the problem. I ordered a water valve and crossed my fingers. These parts arrived...

Broken handle on refrigerator door Margaret J. • North Olmsted , OH • January 29, 2016
I ordered a replacement handle and screws. The process was very easy with the help of one of your "pros" who found all the parts needed and took my order. I didn't realize I was getting both a refrigerator door handle and a freezer door handle in one set, but now we have the freezer handle if we need it. Removing the old handle and installing the replacement was very easy. It looks great, in fact the replacement is metal, whereas the original was plastic, so it looks better than it ever did!

Condenser fan motor died and blade was chewed up needed replacing. Peggy T. • South Paris , ME • August 13, 2019
I originally ordered the Fan motor from a appliance dealer. I waited for 5 days for it to arrive. In the meantime I scavenge a motor from a junk refrigerator from the dump. It worked while I waited for the motor from the appliance dealer. When I picked it up 5 days later it was the "wrong" part. I was fuming mad. I went online and found you guys and ordered the correct parts in 5 minutes. It arrived in 1 day and a half, "COOL" ! The repair went quick and smooth and now the refrigerator runs...

I had leaned on and cracked the bottom shelf of my refrigerator which was fairly old Michael S. • Paxtonville , PA • October 29, 2019
I called Appliance Parts Pros.com and talked to one of their representatives. She was very helpful as I had some concerns about the size of the shelf. She double-checked to ensure that the shelf would fit my refrigerator. She also assured me that if by chance, it did not fit or if anything happened to it within a year, returning would be made easy. The part arrived super quickly and fit perfectly. I have dealt with this site in the past and have always been very pleased.

Door hinge washer Sam M. • Boswell , OK • October 20, 2014
I put a piece of two-by-four, (2"x4") about 10-inches long on edge under the door to support the door. I removed the 3-bolts attaching the door hinge at the bottom corner. I then slid the washer onto the post and placed the bracket back in place with the 3-bolts.
That did the trick.
I used a 3/8-inch socket with extension and a ratchet.
