Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. Oven not heating or heating slowly? Your bake element likely failed. Located at the bottom of the oven cavity, this part restores even baking. Easy DIY fix.
First I removed the (3) wire shelves. Removed the bottom cover by removing the (2) screws in the back. This exposed the oven element. Removed the (2) screws holding the mounting bracket on the front of the element then removed the (2) screws on the silver bracket that holds the back of the element. Turned off power supply. Removed two screws (near the oven door) holding the ceramic top. Slid the top forward, disengaged the two power supply cables, and removed one ground wire. Removed range top, and put on a flat surface. Unclamped two power supply wires, one ground wire and one thermocouple wire from the element. Replacement inner door glass panel for oven doors. Installs between outer glass and oven cavity. Needed when glass is cracked, broken, or shattered.
DIY. The delivery to Milwaukee took two days. The project was very easy and took about 1hr. The only tools required were a screw driver (electric) and a pliers. Just make sure your irganized with the screws so you don't lose any or mix up which ones go back in which holes. There's about 20 total screws. Start by removing the frame on the sides and bottom of the door. (Do not unscrew the corner screw holding the side frame and bottom together.) Removed oven door by simply lifting it off of the hinges. New models of most stoves have two screws easily accessible from inside the oven door, but this older stove required the entire inner part of the oven door to be disassembled and the interior glass removed before the two screws that attach the handle can be accessed. Adjustable leveling leg that stabilizes and balances your range. Replace if cracked, broken, bent, or threads are stripped from wear or impact damage.
The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length.
