This drum baffle (vane) mounts inside the dryer drum to lift and tumble clothes as the drum rotates, improving airflow and drying performance. A damaged or missing baffle can lead to longer dry times and poor tumbling.
Had to bend down the retaining tabs (on the drum) a little to allow the paddle to slide on. Placed the paddle with the tabs in all of the grooved slots, pushing down with one hand, I used my palm to firmly push/tap it into its locked position. I purchased new vane screws (Part #: AP2106572 "131302800") and used a Phillips driver to screw them in (one each paddle). It's that simple! Read more
This cap is a small protective cover used in select appliances. It helps secure and seal its mating component, preventing leaks, debris intrusion, or loosening during normal operation.
Removed the back cover. (Glad I used my power tool to remove all the screws) I then removed the sheared off part of the bolt using drill and easy-out tool. It was a straightforward install of the new bolt. I added a little bit of blue Loctite even though the bolt already had some dry thread sealer. I torqued it down enough to hold everything snug. I also replaced the cap on the water pump filter as I cracked it when I removed it. Tip: Don't use pliers even with a rag to cushion or be more... Read more

The Outside Door Panel replaces a cracked or broken outer trim on your washer door. It restores appearance and alignment, supporting the door glass and handle so the door latches correctly and cycles can start.
First problem was figuring out the correct part to order. I went to the Frigidare website for help there. The door was sandwiched in several layers. The part that broke was of course the plastic one. The door was poorly designed having a piece of plastic support heavy glass and metal! My brother, an engineer actually did the repair as it required three people to install the reassembled door. It is easy to reassemble, but key was the four white plastic "sleeves" that were recycled back into the... Read more
This drain hose carries wastewater from the washer's drain pump to your home standpipe or sink, ensuring proper draining and helping prevent leaks or backflow. Replace a cracked, kinked, or clogged hose to restore reliable draining.
Our washing machine door boot seal was getting moldy and causing odor problems. Cleaning tablets and bleach weren't helping so it was time to be replaced. While I had the top and front off I changed all the hoses that could be collecting soap scum and mold, all other wetted parts were removed and washed. The video on the door boot seal, and inlet valve assembly were extremely helpful in understanding how these parts are removed and reassembled. Although the door boot seal is the most visible... Tested the resistance of the motor windings. They showed around 2.5 ohms. This proved that the motor was bad. The new motor showed around 3.5 ohms. I installed it back in place and the washing machine worked fine. Read more

This electronic control board manages your appliance's core functions and timing. Replacing a failed board restores proper operation when controls are unresponsive or cycles won't run as designed. What it does
Hi, it's me again. So I learned a valuable appliance repair lesson when trying to fix this washing machine: don't fix something until you figure out why it broke in the first place! The first speed control board died (fixed with my last story on year) and I assumed it was just a cheap part of something, but I was in fact proved wrong when, to my dismay, the new board died a week or so later. Being the self-appointed washing machine expert I became after the last repair, I got right into the... Read more
