Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. I measured the continuity of the defrost heater element and the thermostat and they were both good. This only left the main control board. I ordered all three because it was only a matter of time before either the heating element or thermostat went bad.
