Washer won't spin or shows F:43/E:21 error? Worn motor brushes are the likely cause. This repair typically takes 15-30 minutes with basic tools.
Researched online. Tried the easiest fix by cleaning the pump filter drain area, which had some change in there, but that didn't work. So bought the carbon brushes for my husband to replace. This was supposed to be the problem 95% of the time and pretty inexpensive Took two hours of irritation and a little cursing, but together we managed the job after watching a YouTube video. Reset the error code and works great! Read more

After years of replacing the female electric latch switch that controlled the operation of the machine, I discovered that the window/door's handle's connection to its male latching hook had failed. The two were no longer interconnected. Also, the window/door's frame and hinge were materially "fatigued" meaning the hinge/body assembly was allowing the window/door to sag - causing the misaligned door/window to machine body electric latch switch to break when the window/door was closed. Bosch Axxis wasn't draining. Cleaned out filter and still didn't drain. There was also a whining noise when it was trying to drain. So I did some research and confirmed what I suspected. The drain pump had failed. Ordered a new pump and it arrived in two days. Replacement took a couple hours. Had to remove the back panel and front lower panel. Two hoses connected to the old pump had to be disconnected as did a power connection. Putting the new pump back in was just a matter of reconnecting... Read more

Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. As this fix is near a complete tear-down of the washing machine, here are a few tips I discovered. 1) the hub nut is difficult to remove and you need a... Read more

The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Parts cost around... Read more
