Microwave won't start or shows door error? This door switch signals when the door is closed so power flows to the magnetron. Moderate DIY repair, 30-45 min.
I'm a 56 year old divorced woman. I started doing these kinds of repairs to save some money and honestly, to see if I could. So yes, if I can do it, it's not that tough to do. My microwave is built in above the stove - getting it down and back up was the hardest part of the job. An extra pair of strong hands really helps-for anybody, not just a 56 year old woman. The actual repair was pretty easy. Most likely problem was pretty obvious after a little research. Easy to take off cover, get... Read more

Replace your cracked, shattered, or broken oven outer door glass panel. Installs as the front panel of your oven door for viewing while cooking.
I was attempting to tighten the handle on my oven door which required removing the outer door panel. As I was very carefully setting the door down on my tile floor, one side slipped from my hand and the corner dropped literally only about a half-inch onto the floor and the glass shattered. My immediate thought was how much it was going to cost to replace my whole stove, but I was able to find the part in stock from AppliancePartsPro.com for a better price than anywhere else. It was shipped... Read more

Ordered the new fan (blower) from AppliancePartsPros. It arrived 3 days later. Pulled the wall oven out of the wall, removed the sheet metal back and removed the noisy fan. Installed the new fan, reinstalled the sheet metal back, shoved it back into it's place, turned the power back on and viola!, much quieter. Read more

Replaces a broken, bent, or worn oven door hinge. Secures the door in open and closed positions. Includes spring mechanism for proper operation.
The little flip-over locks on my oven door hinges were bent and broken, preventing me from removing the oven door. It took a little bit of searching to determine that my oven purchased from Ikea was actually built by Whirlpool, and finally what were the correct part numbers for both hinges. Much to the credit of AppliancePartsPros.com, they were the only site that specifically labeled these hinges as Left and Right which helped greatly - even the parts diagrams from Whirlpool were not... For the third time in four years, the hinges failed on my KitchenAid wall oven. The appliance is out of warranty and KitchenAid does not consider this to be worthy of any recall. I was tired of paying the appliance repairman to change out the hinges, so I ordered the part online. Appliance Parts Pros is an awesome site for identifying the part you need, and they deliver quickly. Note that you probably need TWO hinges--they do not come as a set--and KitchenAid likes to make their model numbers... Read more

Microwave turntable won't rotate or makes rattling noise? This motor drives the glass tray for even heating. Easy 10-minute DIY fix with basic tools.
Obtained the replacement motor and tray coupler from Appliance Parts Pro. Video of the typical replacement was very helpful to show what to expect and how to replace the motor and coupler. The removal of the bottom plate was held in place by several phillips screws. The motor was attached with two torx screws. The electric connection clips to the motor required needle nose pliers to pull them off. The tray coupler was simple to install after the motor was secured and bottom plate was replaced.. Read more
Heating element not working? This mounting screw securely fastens the heating element in place. A simple DIY repair that takes about 20 minutes to complete.
We ordered the part and one extra screw(which we didn't end up using). If possible take door off your oven for easy access and have lighting source to see well. Taking part out was easy. Putting back in was more difficult because you have to match up two layers of parts in our oven. The broiler coil and the broiler shield above it. We used small craft clothes pins to keep wires from going behind the built in oven. We used a small diameter screw driver to match up holes before putting... Read more
Fixes burners that won't ignite or spark continuously. This spark module generates the high-voltage needed for gas ignition. DIY repair, 1-2 hours.
Bought a Thermador PRSE48" dual fuel range from Craigslist really cheap because it didn't work. Did a little research and decided to overhaul most of the top (gas) end. For what I paid for it it was worth it and I'd have a good stove with new components. Replaced the griddle thermostat, ignition micro switches, ignition re-igniter box, installed fixing kit with 2 new potentiometers, both solenoids, and gas regulator. Had to replace 2 gas lines, all 4 jets, and one brass nut that were... Read more
