Easy fix. Pulled out the range and disconnected power cord. Unscrewed two screws in front of unit. Tilted smoothtop open toward rear of stove. Propped a piece of wood to keep it open. Removed burned out Indicator bulb and its plastic housing. Disconnected two wires attached. Unscrew the two screws under the front edge of the stovetop, have a helper lift the stovetop up, unscrew the six screws holding the metal plate down and remove the plate, unplug the wires connected to the latch switch, and unscrew the two front screws holding the latch assembly in place.
