The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. One difficulty was that the threaded base plate where the legs screwed in had been damaged and had to be reshaped, I was able to reshape the sockets with some effort, to allow the legs to thread in, though one remained slightly angled. Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more

I ordered the new oven bottom from Appliance Parts Pros and within three days I had a brand new oven bottom. Took the old one out, the new one fit superbly. Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions).
