Door latch was a snap (literally). Package included Instructions and parts for 3 different latch types and an easy identification method for each type. Just identify the correct latch type for your dryer and "Snap" it in to the cutout on the inside of the dryer door . Our 19 year old Whirlpool dryer quit heating. After checking the thermal fuse, I found the ignitor electrically open. I saw videos on it possibly being the lid switch. I used 2 lead wires to bypass the lid switch, which indicated it was indeed the lid switch that was faulty. I ordered the lid switch, which came in 2 days. I installed it in less than 7 minutes. Read more

Replaced the motor, blower, rear drum felt seal, and drive belt. Vacuumed up the lint everywhere, cleaned extra lint out of the chute, around the blower, and rear vents. Read more

Disassembled dryer, replaced worn parts and reassembled dryer. Removed top cover, disconnected front connector, removed front panel, removed belt from idler pulley, removed washer drum and belt, replaced push clip, retaining clips, 2 support rollers and idler pulley. Reassembled in reverse order. Read more

Part ordered installed (easy), fixed problem for two loads of wash. Dryer then ran but did not heat. Researched on web and tested thermal interrupt fuses. Ordered (easy install) and now all is well. In the course of the fix it became apparent that the exhaust vent had rotted open on the portion resting on the floor. This was blowing hot air into and below the dryer and opened the fuse.
