Soap dispenser door would not latch closed Lee J. • Lumberton , NJ • January 27, 2015
Looked online for a replacement soap dispenser. Found one on several sites but The A.P.P. site showed the part on a Parts breakdown page and showed the part item number. and the actual part number. I ordered the part and expected the part to show up in about 5-7 days, as per the receipt. The part showed up in 2 business days. I installed the part and the dishwasher works as new. Thanks A.P,P.

My dishwasher was leaking out copious amounts of water while cycling Michael K. • Oakland , MI • July 11, 2019
While at my sister's house, she showed me how to access & dismantle the housing unit on her dishwasher, thinking the issue might be from that area. So, when I came home, I opened up my housing unit and found that several of the screws had come out and the pump outlet seal was stretched out and partially outside of the unit itself. I located all of the missing screws & discovered I was still missing one, which my husband helped me order with the pump outlet seal. I easily replaced the old seal...

This drain cover gasket seals the drain/pump cover at the bottom of the dishwasher tub to keep wash water contained. Replacing a cracked or flattened gasket helps stop leaks from the base and protects nearby components.
- Creates a watertight seal between the drain cover and sump opening
- Helps prevent leaks onto the floor or into the dishwasher base during cycles
- Common signs of failure: puddles beneath the unit, dampness in the base, or a visibly hardened/cracked gasket
- Good practice to replace when the drain cover is removed for service to ensure a proper reseal
What's included: 1 drain cover gasket Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water supply before servicing
- Remove the lower rack (and spray arm if required) to access the drain cover per your model
- Clean mating surfaces; install the new gasket evenly without twists
- Reassemble and run a short cycle while checking for leaks

The dishwasher door spring broke. Rachael T. • Junction City , OR • November 07, 2022
I ordered the parts, deciding that if one spring had broken, the other one should probably be replaced at the same time. I followed the suggestion of ordering the door spring bearing given on the ordering page, and since I had not yet pulled out the dishwasher, did not know that it was not used in this older model. However, the order arrived quickly (4 days), and they are genuine Whirlpool, made in the USA, parts. The access to the sides of the dishwasher where the springs are attached...

Blown dishwasher pump. Paul M. • Littleton , CO • December 10, 2018
I called AppliancePartsPros, talked to a technician to validate problem, ordered part.
I had a great talk with the technician. Told him I have electrical engineering experience, used to fix pinball machines and that the pinballs and home appliances were the same design, i.e. inductor in series with a switch across the hot lines. After that the conversation was like two long lost cousins talking at a family barbeque! Great customer service!

This small check ball sits inside a check valve to allow one-way water flow. Replacing a worn or missing ball helps prevent backflow and supports reliable draining performance between cycles.

- Helps ensure complete, consistent draining
- A damaged, swollen, or missing ball can let water back up into the tub/sump
- Contribute to slow or intermittent draining and unusual gurgling/flow noises
What's included: 1 check ball. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing
- Access the check valve assembly per your model's service information (commonly at the sump, pump outlet, or drain connection)
- Clean the valve seat/passage; remove debris that could prevent sealing
- Place the ball in the valve seat as shown in your model's parts diagram; reassemble and test for leaks and proper flow

This is a tine pivot clip that is a part of the dishrack on many models of dishwashers. The purpose of the plastic tine pivot clip is to secure the tine row onto the dishrack so it stays in the correct place. Sometimes, the tine pivot clip can be damaged or cracked through typical use. When this occurs, the tine row may move out of place and cause noise or other damage to the dishwasher. If a visual inspection shows damage to the tine pivot clip, it should be replaced.Work gloves will be needed to replace the tine pivot clip. In most cases, the replacement can be done by hand but pliers may also be useful. Unplug the dishwasher and disconnect the water before making the replacement. Open the dishwasher and gain access to the tine pivot clip. Pull it out of the dishwasher and install the new replacement part. Make sure to reconnect the water and power before use. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold as a single part. The tine pivot clip is designed to be compatible with dishwashers manufactured by Kenmore, KitchenAid, and Whirlpool.
