This thermistor is the refrigerator's temperature sensor. It continuously measures compartment temperature and sends resistance signals to the control, helping the system regulate cooling for steady performance and consistent food preservation.
First I did the obvious: Changed the evaporator fan motor and condenser fan motor. Then I realized there was too little air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator, so I replaced the air baffle assembly. Now everything works again. This should have been a piece of cake, but in the 48" Kitchenaid side-by-side built-in, the baffle assembly is mounted on the side wall of the refrigerator rather than the back wall as the video showed. That means the hole for the rear of the two screws holding... Read more
This replacement screw secures panels, brackets, and internal components within your appliance. Replacing a missing or damaged fastener restores a tight fit, reduces vibration and noise, and helps keep parts properly aligned during operation.
Replaced door latch and switch. Parts are plastic so you must know what you are doing to avoid breaking new parts. Videos were hard to find for my model - eventually I found a video that addressed a different problem but required disassembly of a washer cabinet similar to mine. I removed the control panel using a putty knife and unplugged the wire to the latch switch. Then I remove 3 screws securing the washer's top panel to the back panel. Using a rubber mallet, I gently knocked the top panel... Read more
This refrigerator ice auger sits inside the ice bin and rotates to move cubes or crushed ice toward the chute. Replacing a worn, bent, or stripped auger restores smooth, consistent dispensing performance. What it does:
Found bad auger motor drive shaft, it was rounded on the end that goes into motor. While I was there I replaced the seal, auger (old one rusty) and coupler. The new auger is stainless steel (I believe and slightly longer) and should not corrode like old white one. If changing auger, make sure you put the assembly back together correctly (take a few pics of the old one and lay it out as taken apart). As always, parts arrived quickly. Read more

This trash compactor is in our vacation home. We never use it and now we are selling the house. When I looked to replace it I was amazed at how expensive a new compactor would cost. I found the serial number on the current compact entered it and your web site came up. Your schematics were excellent and made the repair very easy! Read more
This refrigerator compressor is the heart of the sealed cooling system. It compresses and circulates refrigerant so the fresh food and freezer sections reach and maintain set temperatures, restoring cooling performance when the original unit has failed.
This water inlet valve regulates the flow of water into your appliance during operation. Replacing a sticking or leaking valve restores reliable filling performance and helps prevent slow fills, no fills, or unwanted dripping when the unit is off.
Replaced the water inlet valve. Because my fridge (KitchenAid) is a commercial style with the compressor on top, the inlet valve was underneath the fridge so most work done laying on my side. I raised the feet as high as they would go, released to two screw for the metal housing that the inlet valve was attached to then swung it toward the front. From here, I was able to remove the two screws holding the inlet valve to the metal housing freeing it. Then I removed the hoses and the electrical... Read more
This ice door motor drives the dispenser flap that opens for ice dispensing and closes to seal the chute. Replacing a weak or failed motor restores smooth door movement and helps prevent warm air and moisture from entering the freezer. What it does:
I replaced the ice door motor with new hardware, circuit board on touch panel display then the main ECB on top in the doghouse. It finally came to life and started working! No issues with the front panel and everything works as it did! Read more
This door bracket connector links the door bracket to its mating linkage in select refrigerator door assemblies. Replacing a worn or broken connector restores a solid connection so the door operates smoothly and stays properly aligned. What it does:
I chose to replace all the involved parts since everything was 12 years old. My parts were exactly what I needed. It was easy to take apart the ice chute mechanism and replace with the new parts. It works great!! Read more
This door hinge restores smooth, aligned door operation. Replacing a worn hinge ensures the door opens and closes properly, supports the door's weight, and helps the gasket seal evenly to reduce air or heat loss.
Water tube connector that joins two sections of a refrigerator's water tubing for a secure, leak-resistant connection. Replacing a cracked or leaking connector can help restore consistent water flow to the dispenser and ice maker.
This is a replacement screw designed to work with a wide range of household appliances. It is used for many purposes in these appliances, from holding body panels together to securing electronics into control boards. However, screws are subject to damage through corrosion, impact, and improper installation/removal. In most cases, the primary damage to this screw is through corrosion – it may become rusted or corroded in place, depending on the appliance and the maintenance provided during its lifespan. The screw may also be stripped or rounded due to improper removal or installation. If the screw is damaged, lost, or corroded in place, it will need to be replaced. In most cases, removal will require nothing more than a Phillips head screwdriver or the appropriately sized socket with a ratchet. However, if the screw is damaged, it may require a tap set to remove it from its mounting location. Note that this is a genuine OEM replacement screw made from durable, high-quality metal, and is sold individually. It fits Whirlpool, Maytag, Roper, Estate, Amana, Crosley, and Thermador appliances. It is used in over 150 machines, ranging from washers and dryers to air conditioners.

This replacement cabinet screw secures panels, brackets, and ducts in Whirlpool-built appliances so components stay aligned and secure. Replacing missing or stripped hardware helps reduce vibration, rattling, and gaps that can affect performance.
The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above. This coupler in turn rotates the auger in the bin to dispense the ice. I removed the motor coupler & shaft, tapped the coupler loose and filed off the rust. This allowed... Read more
