Replace the wheel and bracket assembly that mounts to your dishwasher tub wall. Needed when the tub-mounted roller is cracked, broken, or missing.
Ordered new wheel assembly, which came in about a day and a half. The broken assembly was on the left front so I only had to slide the dishwasher out just enough to expose the two mounting screws on the outside of machine.When you remove the old assm there are two rubber washers on the back side. Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit. The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. Central hub that secures the lower spray arm in your dishwasher. Replace if cracked, broken threads, or wobbly spray arm. Includes installation video.
Chopper screen was completely blocked. Chopper blades separated from the shaft. Retainer ring came off of the shaft but was able to re install the chopper assembly. Worked fine after cleaning the screen and reassembly the lower spray arm. Lower spray arm hub tab broke when removing so purchased a new one with a new bearing. We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue.
