Remove lint filter and the two screws that hold the exhaust filter port to the top of the cabinet. 4. This Maytag dryer was bought in 1985 if memory serves. It has worked hard with few repairs done by yours truly over the years. I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached.
