The Dryer Drum Roller Axle is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It plays a role in the dryer's operation by offering support and an axis for the drum roller to spin smoothly. This guarantees effective and balanced tumbling of clothes throughout the drying cycle.
Causes of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle can include prolonged use leading to wear and tear, accumulation of lint and debris causing additional friction, or improper loading of the dryer drum which can bend or strain the axle.
Symptoms of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle include:
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
I replaced the belt, belt tension pulley, both dryer drum roller axles and both drum support rollers. Although I bought 2 tumbler bearing kits, because those still look good I am saving them for when they go bad. The videos were fantastic! I also took pictures as I went of wiring so there would be no question where things went when reassembling. It should be noted some models have extra terminals near the sensor terminals... just be aware and look closely/take pics as you are taking things... Read more

This is a Whirlpool washer control board. This is the main control board behind the user interface, not to be confused with the motor control board located within the body of the washer. This part controls the main functions of the washer and toggles between different cycles. Certain functions may become unavailable intermittently when the main control board loses function. The washer may also continue to spin, not following the regular timeline of the cycle.Start the repair by pulling the control knob from the front of the washer. Pull the washer out from the wall to access the rear panel. Remove the screws from the back panel, and push back on the control panel while sliding a flat head under the right corner to release the mounting clip. Repeat this on the left side, and the central console should pull free. Release the clips for the wire harness and remove the air hose from the control board. Remove the mounting screws and pull the control board from its protective console. Reverse this process to install the new component. This product is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This part is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, and JennAir appliances.

After much internet research (primary YouTube) as to why my Maytag Neptune washing machine's spin cycle stopped working, I ordered the parts I needed to fix it. Sure enough, it was a failed wax motor and a blown control board at fault. After replacing both parts, we have a functioning washing machine again. While I was at it, I replaced the soap dispenser's bezel and lid since they were deteriorating and now we have a "new" washer! I also replaces the thermostat in the matching dryer and we... Read more

Basically rebuilt the washer from the ground up. Spent more money than a new washer but we have been so happy with the way this machine has worked over the last 19 years figured it would be money well spent. Read more

I verified that there were no drain line obstructions. Checked the ohms across the pump motor. Ran the washer through the diagnostics test. Determined that the main control board must be the problem. Washer would run until the spin cycle. It would pump down and continue pumping even though there was no water. Would not advance to spin. It would time out and flash the nd code. I was able to get it to run by shutting it off, turning back on and selecting the spin only button. Thought I would try... Read more
