Replacement mounting screw for refrigerator panels, handles, brackets, and internal fixtures. Order when original screws are stripped, lost, or damaged.
I wasn’t sure where I could get parts for the fridge, Google brought me here. Super easy to look up model #’s and locate parts by type/location with the appliance map. I needed to change the racks and the doorstop. The racks were super simple. I would have succeeded with the doorstop too, but the holes at the bottom are stripped and the doorstop wasn’t secured correctly in the first place. So that’s frustrating, but appliance parts pros were easy to use, parts came quickly and The video from... Read more
Freezer not cooling or food freezing in refrigerator? This temperature control thermostat regulates freezer temperature. Moderate DIY repair with video guide.
I ordered a freezer temperature control. I ordered from you because parts are certified. Last thing I wanted was to go through the replacement process with a part that didn’t work. I’m not a handy person by nature, and I have zero common sense. I watched the awesome instructional video that you provided with my order several times. Before receiving or even opening the package, I felt that I knew what to expect because I watched the video so many times. Before beginning, I made sure I had as... Read more
Replacement actuator paddle for refrigerator ice and water dispensers. Installs on the freezer door. Needed when the original is cracked, broken, or missing.
Removed complete housing, including the actuator to dispense ice; plastic cemented, with reinforcing strips of cloth to reinforce repair on left hand side of assembly. Then installed new actuator part from Appliance Parts, plugged in wires, then had to plastic cement the pack on back of the new actuator back on, as it had come loose. Reassembled all, and finally managed to get the water discharge tube back through the hole, than replaced the flat strip connector & replaced all screws. Works... Read more

Torsion spring that returns the dispenser ice chute door to closed position. Replace if broken, weak, or missing to restore proper door closure.
I wasn't sure if it was the door being warped, the spring return being worn, or the rotary damper failing, so I ordered all to update the door mechanism. I also ordered a new micro switch since one of the switches had started to require more and more pressure to actuate. Figured I'd fix it at the same time. Repair was very straightforward and the videos available on this and other repair sites were very helpful. I found a video that showed replacing the door mechanism on a nearly identical... Read more
Freezer won't start or compressor hums but doesn't run? A failed run capacitor is often the cause. DIY-friendly repair, typically done in under an hour.
Looked for obvious signs of mal-function, burned wires, etc. I found that the compressor controller(attached to the compressor) had an obvious burned-out spot. Took a chance that was the problem (it was); ordered all new OEM parts, including a new timer and run capacitor (a part that kicks in every time the compressor starts). I received the parts at 1 PM EST; by 1:48 PM I had the freezer working. Easily saved $250.00. A nice aside was that an Internet competitor was asking $53.00 for the same... Read more
Refrigerator side freezing food or running constantly? The fresh food temperature control regulates compartment temps. Moderate DIY repair with video.
This issue was with a refrigerator that we acquired with a house we bought. The freezer was cold, making ice well, overall doing great. The refrigerator was not cold however. I had this issue with our own refrigerator in the past, and it was related to the defrost fan not working and the coils freezing up. However this refrigerator's coils had no ice buildup. Doing some searching on the internet I was able to narrow it down to the damper between the freezer and refrigerator not opening... Read more

Ice not dispensing or auger won't turn? The drive bar transfers motor rotation to crush and dispense ice. Moderate DIY repair with video guide.
My problem started with a rusting condition in the ice bin that spiraled out of hand. I took apart the ice bin and all the hardware thinking I could clean it with the suggested baking powder. Plastic parts cleaned up like new, metal parts were pitted. I wire brushed and sanded the parts put it all back together and gave it a try. All appeared fine then two days later the ice dispenser stopped. I watched a couple of videos and most pointed to the ice auger motor. One video specifically said you... Read more
