• Freezer not defrosting

I took the bottom tray out of the freezer and found the coils iced up severely. I was reasonably sure the defrost timer was the problem and your tech said that was a good possibility. Ordered and replaced timer. (15 minutes) Problem fixed!!! Saved purchasing a new fridge at big bucks. We live over 40 miles from a service center so the cost of having a tech come out is astronomical. Thanks!!! Read more

Replaced the water tube that went from the plastic tubing to the ice cube tray. Found that even though it was the same exact length as the original, there was only an extremely small gap from the end of the tube to a splash board. This may have been the root cause of my problems. Read more

We ordered the hooks for the shelf that had replaceable hooks. And we ordered the bottom shelf called "Pick off Shelf." The Pick off Shelf was just a replaceable shelf and was no problem. The shelf with the hooks wasn't as easy, but that's because we aren't very "savvy" when it comes to fixing things that come with no directions. I replaced the Relay-Ptc and that solved the problem. I could see that there was a problem with the relay because it was arcing inside and you could see a glow coming from the inside. when I removed it from the compressor I shook it and I could hear it rattling and news for sure it was the problem Read more

Checked out the video on your site on how to disassemble the ice maker. Was really easy when you know the correct sequence. Only 3 screws and it's out of the freezer. Disassembled the ice maker on my kitchen counter and replaced the ice stripper. Reassembled and installed back in my freezer. It is as good as new Read more

Replaced motor, fan and lock-nut. My repair was on a built in Refrigerator-Freezer so most of the time was spent on pulling out and putting back the unit to get to the area I needed to behind the upper top. Read more

Pushed the "pop" out of the rivet with a nail. Could have kept it and reused it but I did not. Positioned the new hook pushed the pop-rivet in place and was done. Total time less than 3 minutes. Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. Read more

I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it.
