If you search for this issue online, you’ll see this is caused by a faulty door switch - the primary interlock micro switch (with the red button). This switch is at the lowest position in the bracket that holds the switches. The hardest part for me was pulling the cover off. Replaced unit. You need to know that the touch pad needs to come out to make repair. One screw and two tabs on bottom. Mechanical connection on damper unit has a tab that connects assembly to damper unit. This needed to be bent up to remove old part. Read more

I ordered a new grill from APP and replaced it. The repair (replacement) was simple as pie, but the two metal screw receivers on the new grill had changed screw size. The top screw is easy to get at after the door yoke is removed. The lower is behind the plate that holds the glass and door together. I removed the door very simple just lift up in the full open position .lay the door on a towel and drill a 1/4 inch hole over the head of the screw and you now can remove the screw with out disassembling the door.
