The Condenser Fan Motor is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. It is designed to circulate air through the condenser coils, helping to dissipate heat and keep the refrigerator's internal components cool. This ensures efficient operation and prevents the compressor from overheating, which is essential for maintaining the refrigerator's performance and longevity.
You should replace the condenser fan motor if it becomes faulty. Causes of a bad fan motor can include electrical failures, wear and tear from regular use, or blockages that cause the motor to overheat or burn out. A malfunctioning fan motor can lead to inadequate cooling, increased energy consumption, and potential damage to other refrigerator components.
Symptoms of a bad condenser fan motor include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
I googled the issue and read several articles. Most started with cleaning the coils (which mine are on the bottom) (19yr old Kenmore 363.9557812). I had not really ever cleaned them well, vacuuming did little. I had to remove the cardboard cover off the back of the frig, and blew them clean (front to back). Once that was done, I started cleaning from the back and noticed the fan wasn't turning week (condensor fan). Blew it out too, have it a good soon with a pencil, it puffed out a bunch of... Read more
The Evaporator Fan Blade is an OEM component for GE freezers and bottom-mount refrigerator designs. Located inside the freezer compartment, this fan blade spins to circulate cold air evenly throughout the storage space.
Causes of a faulty evaporator fan blade include natural fatigue from running year-round. Freezers exposed to humid environments may experience faster corrosion.
Symptoms include:
This part is also compatible with some brands like Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore.
I used a set of ring pliers to remove the old retaining ring, then spread the plastic ribs around the fan motor shaft with a small flat bladed screwdriver to ease removal of the old fan blade. I reversed the process to replace the blade, gently tapping a socket from my socket wrench set placed over the motor shaft and ribs with a small rubber mallet. I stopped when the shaft protruded about 1/8" beyond the plastic ribs of the new fan blade, then installed the new retaining clamp ring with the... Read more
The Ice Maker Water Line is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. It is an important supply line that delivers water from the main water source to the icemaker component. The water line allows water to flow smoothly, facilitating the icemaking process.
Causes of a bad water line can include cracks or punctures from impact or bending, mineral deposits and corrosion building up inside the line restricting flow, or improper connection fittings causing leakage.
Symptoms of a bad ice maker water line include:
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Fridge is 14 years old, ordered the water valve assembly and hose. Removed and replaced both Read more
The Ice Maker Fill Tube Grommet is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This grommet creates a seal between the ice maker fill tube and the refrigerator, preventing leaks and ensuring that water is properly directed into the ice maker during the filling process.
Causes of a bad grommet can include regular wear and tear, damage from exposure to freezing and thawing cycles, or degradation from exposure to water and moisture.
Symptoms of a bad ice maker fill tube grommet include:
Replaced original (18 yrs.) 1/4" plastic tubing, clamp and grommet (AppliancePartsPros/GE parts) from outlet of ice maker water control valve to ice maker inlet. Also replaced water supply line to inlet of water control valve with new, GE braided, PEX 1/4" supply line with pre-attached female compression fittings on both ends. Repair job with AppliancePartsPros parts from outlet of water control valve went perfectly well, was simple, and had no leaks when tested. Parts were easy to install,... Read more
The Ice Bucket and Auger Assembly is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This part stores ice and includes an auger mechanism that helps dispense the ice through the refrigerator's ice dispenser.
Causes of a bad ice bucket and auger assembly include cracks in the bucket, worn or broken auger blades, or issues with the auger motor.
Symptoms of a bad ice bucket and auger assembly include:
I ordered a new bucket and auger combination--I didn't want to have to completely disassemble the mechanism to replace the rusted auger helix dispenser, so for about twice the cost of the auger alone I got the complete assembly. The product arrived in pristine condition less than 48 hours after I purchased it online. About 10 minutes later (most of that spent taking out the old bucket and finding my philips head screwdriver), I had removed the four screws holding the cover plate on the old... Read more
This PTC start relay mounts on the refrigerator compressor and briefly energizes the start winding, then automatically opens as it warms. Replacing a weak relay helps restore reliable compressor starts and consistent cooling. What it does:
I bought this relay switch and it works great. On the left side of the compressor there is a plastic cover you pry off with a screw driver. The relay switch had one wire plug on it. Just pull the wire off and the pull the relay switch off the compressor. Read more
This armature kit is the moving plunger and linkage operated by the dispenser solenoid. It opens and closes the ice chute door during dispensing and helps it seal when idle to reduce frost and warm-air leaks.
Replaced the water supply valve...boom! Read more
This replacement motor powers the dispenser's auger/crusher mechanism to move ice from the bucket to the chute. Replacing a weak or seized motor helps restore reliable cube or crushed-ice dispensing from the freezer door.
I watched the help videos first, then ordered the parts, and installed all items as in the video. Read more
Door solenoid with plunger.
I ordered a new solenoid and when it arrived, I installed it as follows: I cut the power to the refrigerator. I then pulled off the rubber boot (and it's plastic frame) that covers the water switch. Then I removed the bezel that covers the front of the ice maker controls by pulling it straight out. Then I removed the four screws found on the assembly under the bezel. After pulling the assembly forward a bit, I detached the multi-wire connector attached to it and put the assembly aside.... Read more
The recess door retainer secures the dispenser's ice chute flapper in the refrigerator door. Replacing a cracked or missing retainer restores proper flapper pivot and sealing to help reduce frost buildup and air leaks around the dispenser.
Replaced springs, flapper assembly and ice door retainer as described in videos and it was easy. So far so good..water dispenses. Read more
This dispenser crank links the dispenser solenoid and the ice chute door. When you press the dispenser lever, the crank pivots to open and close the ice door so cubes or crushed ice can dispense cleanly without warm air leaking into the freezer.
REPLACED DISPENSER CRANK ARM, SPRING, FLAPPER FOR DISPENSER. THE REPAIR WAS VERY SIMPLE WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. Read more
Black. 8-18 AB HXW 3/8
I ordered the part and was impressed to receive it within two day! I didn't need the screws I ordered (which I ordered just in case) but the trim was put on with no problem and my oven looks brand new again! Thank you! Read more
This screw fastens appliance panels, brackets, and trim so parts stay secure and aligned. Replace a missing, stripped, or rusty screw to stop rattles and restore a tight, factory fit.
Replaced the water tank. Followed the video instruction provided by Appliance Parts Pros. Very good instruction. Read more
This clamp secures small hoses or tubing and nearby wiring inside the appliance to keep lines held in place and reduce rubbing, leaks, or vibration noise. It's a direct-fit replacement designed to restore proper hose routing and stability. What it does:
Nut for 1/4 inch tubing.
Changed the Frigidaire Icemaker Fill Tube Part # 241796405 (AP5671747) about a week ago and so far the Frigidaire Refrigerator seems to work fine. Did not use other ordered parts. Recently ice formed around internal evaporator fan and it started making loud noise when then fan and compressor, etc were running. A long winded history noted below if interested: I have been fighting with this Frigidaire Refrigerator for about 3 to 4 years, started out with the evaporator fan making noise when ice... Read more
