Replace the ball sensor. Also known as the out of balance sensor . Another confirmatory clue was when I ran the QC diagnostics . The moment I ran the first diagnostic test, the spin test, I got a bE (ball sensor) error code in the display and the drum would rotate slowly. When I replaced the sensor the drum ran at very hig speed the moment I entered the diagnostic. Replaced all bearings, seals, springs, dampers and gaskets. After disassembly I was cleaning the gunk off the spider arm. I was seeing what looked like small stones in the clean out trap. Turns out it was small pieces of metal. Spider arm was being eaten and had holes in it so replaced that too. Bolts holding spider arm to the drum are secured with orange lock tight. I removed the drum and found that the spider was totally broken. Decided to order a new drum with the spider. The item came as expected, only took a couple of days, replace it and voila, a got a washer fixed. Just want to mention that because of that problem, the tub cover and the gasket connected to the door needed to be replaced too because we waited to long to see that there was a problem with the vibration of the drum during the spinning cycle. Even though I never touched a wash machine, I was able to fix mine after I came across APP site. I read some histories that matched mine and was able to identify the problem and the parts for the fix. This replacement outer door frame fit perfectly. All that is needed is a screwdriver. Anyone can do this fix. The new door frame however is slightly redesigned from my original 2006 model and the plastic handle insert, although it fits, does not cover the full length of the new door frame design. However I don't think anyone will notice this but me. Read more
