It is positioned between the inner and outer tubs to hold the tub bearing inside the outer tub. The Tub Bearing Split Ring not only supports the tub/hub assembly but also ensures smooth operation.

Symptoms of a bad Tub Bearing Split Ring include:

Excessive vibration or tub imbalance during spins
Loud clunking, knocking or grinding sounds
Reduced spin speeds or inability to achieve high RPMs
Premature tub or bearing wear requiring replacement
