Washer overfilling or not filling properly? A damaged pressure switch hose prevents accurate water level sensing. Easy 15-minute DIY fix with video.
I read the FAQ section of Appliance Pros parts web site. I found out I needed to replace the temperature control switch, WPW10248240, to correct my problem. This switch also controls the tub filling water level based on air pressure via the attached vinyl tubing. I ordered the switch and the tubing, WP353255, in case mine was no longer any good, and I also ordered the retaining clips for the control cabinet, (2) of WP8312709, because they can be damaged when accessing the controls. My new... Read more
Fix washer not filling, slow fill, or water leaks with this water inlet valve assembly. Moderate DIY repair, typically takes 30-60 minutes to install.
I replaced the water inlet valve assembly. We have relatively hard water and I assumed that over the years those inlet valves were clogged with calcium deposits which in turn led to the high pitched squealing as water was added to the machine. The hardest part of the entire job was releasing the top of the washer to disconnect the hoses from the valve assembly. Everything else was relatively easy. We simply followed the online video. My washer no longer screams and I'm thrilled! Your... Read more

Secures the washer drain hose to the cabinet frame to prevent movement during draining. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to reduce vibration noise.
I listen very carefully and looked up on line many items that may cause it. One thing, along with the knock was a ting like noise. Like tapping on the sheet metal of the machine. I rocked the drum back and forth and could only find a similar nose. Rotating had nothing. At that point I figured it had to do something with the suspension rods. The rod toward the back right side would ever so slightly stick (ball) when rocking the tub then the ball would have a chatter like movement. I lubed up... Read more
