After looking for solutions online and watching some short videos, we decided to open the dishwasher up and try to fix it ourselves. Disconnect the power to the fridge. First remove the control panel by removing the one screw underneath and then insert a screwdriver into the small square hole underneath in order to pull the lower left of the control panel towards you. You are pulling against a plastic clip and you need to pull fairly hard. Once the lower left clip is free the other three come unclipped fairly easily. Well, I took it out (it slides out) to get a good look at it,so i could ref pictures on your site..naturally I had serial/model of refrig,and thats mandatory to get the right part. It came in 2 days,,and being just the bucket, it took only a few minutes to transfer the auger assembly/cube/crusher.... into the new one, 6 screws total..Your site has excellent vids on DIY.......I HIGHLY reccomend. Whole process was'nt over 15 minutes, piece of cake....And NOW i can go back to my nightly 'scotch... Read more

Replaced tray, The only difficulty was connecting the drain hose to the bottom of the tray. Difficult to get hand on the hose. Read more

Replaced entire ice maker. A couple of important points. (1) The ice maker module does not include all parts. The door flap for example is not included. So save all plastic parts from the old unit including screws. The biggest installation problem was the power cable. There was little room on the side of the ice maker for the cable and connectors to fit. Make sure the connector that mates with the refrigerator cable is seated onto the plastic housing and does not stick out or dangle out.... Read more

My fridge was too cold - everything was freezing solid, even in the produce bins. The air from the diffuser vent was constantly running. After unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in, the diagnostic code on the control panel indicated that the air diffuser was not working. I purchased a new air diffuser, watched the very helpful video that showed how to install it, and replaced the part in about 10 minutes. Had to buy a new draw handle and detergent draw..they attach together by two plastic tabs that take a lot of stress each time you open it..unfortunately had to buy both to fix the problem.. Read more

• Ice maker won't dispense ice

I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. Ordered a new detergent dispenser that arrived within two days. Removed screws on the inside of door that removes the front door panel. The detergent dispenser is held on by a bracket with six screws. There is one plugin that needs to be disconnected. Everything is reinstalled as before. It work as before. Read more
