Broken tab on old magnet holder Joel E. • Granite Falls , NC • December 27, 2016
This was a super-easy repair. You have to line up the spring so that it sits on the bumps inside the magnet holder and the door, then you have to line up the tabs on the magnet holder so they will slide into the slots on the door. Then you just push it in. Repair took less than a minute.

Beating and bumping like a pair of tennis shoes were inside William R. • Simpsonville , SC • March 28, 2017
I pulled the dryer away from the wall and unplugged it. Then I used a 5/16 nut driver and removed the 2 screws in the bottom front panel and pulled it off. Next I removed the 2 5/16 screws holding the front door panel and pulled it down far enough to disconnect the wires for the light and the wires on the door switch. Then , using a putty knife I popped the springs holding the top and control panel then pulling the top up and resting it against the wall. Now I started my repair by laying on...

Very loud squeal noise Thomas P. • Dundalk , MD • June 05, 2018
Repair went well, replaced the pulley wheel, belt, rear drum bearing. Had an issue after replacement with the dryer stopping after ~5mins or so when running with heat. Fluff cycle would run fine.
Details:
The lock nut on the pulley wheel didn't feel tight enough so i tried to crimp it back on the pulley arm. It then became way too lose. I had to replace it with a plastic washer I had in my toolkit. That fit snug and seems to work fine. I also added some grease to the pulley shaft under...

Noisy spin Troy E. • Salem , NH • April 16, 2018
Was going to order 4 new wheel & spindle sets, then saw you could get just the wheel for 1/3 the cost, so I ordered those. Then in the frequently ordered other items I saw the idler wheel assy. So I ordered one of those also. Glad I did, it was in worse shape than any of the wheels which still seemed to spin freely after I got all the hairs and crap off them. Anyways, went by the video step by step. Pretty straightforward. Have a good vacuum handy, I’m surprised that it used to dry at all...

Start button was broke off in the gray part of the control board on our whirlpool cabrio dryer Curtis S. • Gregory , SD • January 06, 2015
There is a video on youtube that talks about how to disassemble the electronic component out of the control board so I really won't go into that part of it. This disassembly of the control board will need to take place before you can even get started taking the gray piece out of the console to replace it. Be careful not break off the little tips behind the control knob, don't force it, it does come apart easily and there is an easy way to do it, that is also on youtube.
This is where the...

Replaced with new door lock assembly, plugged back in, tightened some screws, double-checked alignment between latch & lock assembly was good and the project was done. Very concerning loud thumping noise while running our dryer. William M. • Sudbury , MA • July 20, 2019
In the past, I replaced some electronic components on our gas dryer, the solenoid and the electronic ignitor, but the rest of the dryer looked more difficult to repair if needed in the future.
I was wrong.
I went unto AppliancePartsPros.com and watched some repair videos on dryers like mine that make big thumping sounds while drying. This happened when I googled my dryer model number in an attempt to find out is capacity, because I wanted our new dryer to have the same capacity.
I found out...

The washer would not go into spin mode only partial wash and drain Karen T. • Dearborn Heights , MI • August 11, 2017
The part is so new no video so I went onto a similar part and watched video that got me about 80%. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. So I installed the last bit of it which was the bezel through the machine top by myself correctly. So you take the old one out by pushing out to the right from the bottom side using a screw driver for leverage. It will...
