Fix a washer that won't agitate, drain, or stop filling water. This control switch restores proper cycle operation. Moderate DIY repair, 30-45 minutes.
I removed two sheet metal screws to remove the panel above the washing machine lid. That exposed four more phillips drive sheet metal screws, after removing those the dashboard control panel is held by two smaller black screws slightly recessed in the lower corners. This allowed the panel to be pulled down from the top, revealing the back of the switch. At this point I took a picture of the wiring connections with my cell phone to make sure I put them on the new switch in the same... Read more

If your washer won't start because it thinks the door is open, this door switch likely needs replacement. DIY-friendly repair takes about 15 minutes.
This switch fixed a very frustrating problem, 75% of the time the washer refused to run because it "thought" the door was open. Replacing the switch was a very easy, in expensive, 5-min fix. The washer runs like new. When taking off the gasket, there is a metal ring that holds the gasket in place. It is connected by a spring. Find the spring, put a flat head screwdriver between the spring and the gasket and pull the ring off. The gasket will then peel back, giving you access to the switch and... Read more

Fix a refrigerator that won't cool or clicks but won't start. This compressor start relay and overload protects against overheating. DIY repair in 30 minutes.
Replaced start relay and capacitor. Good news, repair successful. Bad news, parts supplied are not direct fit plug and play on my Frigidaire model. Supplied parts are larger than the original. Wire retaining clip needs to be modified to hold relay in position against compressor. Original Molex connector did not connect to the supplied relay. The male spades on the supplied relay are larger than the original. Needed to cut off connector and crimp on larger female spade connectors to individual... Read more

The E32 diagnostic code that the Frigidaire washer was throwing after a quick water fill attempt was not in the supplied Data Sheet that came with the washer and Frigidaire would not provide and updated Data Sheet because, "it's a liabiliity issue" was their statement, but they did tell me that the problem was in the Fill Pressure Sensor/Wire Harness or the Main Control Board (the display board).
