The Lower Felt Seal is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This part creates a tight seal between the drum and the front panel, preventing air leakage and reducing energy consumption.
Symptoms of a failing Lower Felt Seal include:
Causes of a bad lower felt seal can include regular wear and tear from the constant rotation of the drum, physical damage from overloading the dryer, or deterioration due to exposure to heat and humidity over time.
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and some Kenmore models.
My 12 year old Frigidaire stack on top dryer had been beeping distress messages in some unintelligible code for about a year when it completely stopped producing heat. It also had a long standing issue with delicate fabrics and thin straps or drawstrings getting caught in the drum. After using this site to troubleshoot and viewing the useful how-to videos, I ordered and replaced the heating element, thermal limiter, and felt seals. Based on others' stories, I decided to also replace the rear... Read more
The Dryer Seal is an OEM replacment part for Frigidaire dryers. It is located at the doorway opening where the drum rotates and helps prevent lint, moisture, and heat from escaping. The seal is a crucial component that ensures efficient drying and heat retention within the dryer drum.
Causes of a bad seal can include wear and tear over time from continuous use or damage due to mishandling. The nylon seal experiences a lot of friction and heat stress with each drying cycle.
Symptoms of a bad seal include:
This OEM Frigidaire replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. It is attached with snap metal fittings. Do not completely remove the top, just tip upright to gain access to the front interior of the dryer. Before you pull any wires from the door switch, record which color wires go to which terminals on the door switch. If you reassemble the connections incorrectly, the gas value will... Read more
The Gasket is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. This part is located between the front and rear outer tubs and prevents water leaks by maintaining a watertight seal between them. The gasket acts as a barrier to ensure that water used during the washing process remains contained within the inner tub, preventing it from seeping into the washing machine's surrounding components.
Causes of a bad gasket can include regular wear and tear, exposure to harsh detergents, or deterioration over time.
Symptoms of a bad gasket include:
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.
I watched the video posted by Jerrod Sessler on yellow van handyman.com. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. Then I disassembled the tub assembly and remove seal and both bearings from the rear half. At this point I cleaned everything. I installed new bearings and seal, installed the basket and assembled both tub halves using a new gasket and silicone, and reinstalled the... Read more
This tub cover seal fits between the outer tub and the tub cover/splash guard on compatible washers. It keeps wash water and suds contained, helping prevent leaks from the top of the cabinet during agitation and spin.
I tore into the washer until i found what i thought was the problem which was the upper outer tub splash cover gasket and when i couldnt find one in my town i ordered a new one from u folks and replaced it hoping for the best and was successful. This fix costed me $35 instead of the $400+ for a new washer glad i looked into it instead of discarding it and buying a new one as most may do thanks Read more
Includes bearing and seal. Bearing is not available separately.
Replaced outer tub assembly shell. AppliancePartsPros Video was outstanding and easy to follow. Removed outer shell prior to ordering replacement. Took about 2-3 hours off and on (ie. washer and dryer were stacked and I was working in a confined space). A lot of time was spent in cleaning up the washer, spyder etc. prior to installation. Washer originally purched December 1997 so it had accumulated lots of dust, dirt, lint. Ordered shell Jan 9th 5:27AM and received it Jan 10th 2:30PM. (For... Read more
This bulkhead is the front tub housing that supports the washer drum and seals the washer cabinet to help contain water. Replaces a cracked or corroded housing to restore proper drum alignment and help prevent leaks. What it does:
This is a drum assembly intended for use with dryers. This part can be found inside the dryer and is responsible for holding clothing while a cycle is running. It holds wet laundry while loading the appliance. Over time and with use, the drum assembly can start to wear out. This can cause the dryer to squeal, start and stop during a cycle, make buzzing noises, or seize up.If the drum assembly is damaged, it will need to be replaced. Make sure to have basic tools and a pair of work gloves ready. The dryer should be turned off and unplugged from the wall. Raise the top panel, remove the front panel, and then remove the drum. The drum support roller should be taken out and installed on the new drum. Reinstall with the new component and reassemble all parts before use.The drum assembly is made to be used with dryers and washer/dryer combos from Inglis, Estate, Admiral, Crosley, Roper, Magic Chef, Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Kenmore, and Whirlpool. It is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. The part is sold on an individual basis.
This drum is the rotating tub that holds clothes and provides the tumbling action needed for cleaning or drying. It restores the drum surface and rotation area to help the appliance tumble items properly. What it does:
This balance ring mounts on the top of the washer's spin basket. Its sealed, liquid-filled chamber shifts weight to counterbalance uneven loads so the tub spins smoothly, reducing vibration, noise, and stress on other components. What it does:
I found that the balance ring had popped loose from the top of the inner metal tub and had been scored so that the fluid was leaking out. So, I removed the metal shell of the washer, then the top plastic cover over the outer tub. I pulled out the old part and put on the new one. I had to give it a pretty good push downward to engage the clips and get it fully seated. I ran my hand along the inside of the metal tub to feel that the new balance ring was fully seated. I also used a short level to... Read more

Basically rebuilt the washer from the ground up. Spent more money than a new washer but we have been so happy with the way this machine has worked over the last 19 years figured it would be money well spent. Read more
