Oven won't heat properly or overheats? A faulty temperature sensor may be the cause. Simple 15-minute DIY repair with basic tools and our video guide.
I have a Whirlpool RBS245PDQ12 wall mount oven. Gathering information from AppliancePartsPros.com resulted in two possibilities: The Thermal Switch or the Control Panel. Talking with Appliance Parts Pros led to testing the Oven Temperature Sensor. It's supposed to test at 1080 Ohms at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Mine tested at 960 Ohms so I knew it was bad... I found the service manual on the top of the Oven on the left behind the control panel. It has values for testing (Ohms of resistance)... Read more

Replace cracked, broken, or damaged inner oven door glass panel. Installs inside the door to provide heat-resistant viewing while cooking.
Ordered the replacement glass through AppliancePartsPros.com and it arrived the next day. Wow! There are three pieces of glass (four if you include the front glass panel on the oven door when it is closed) layered inside and in looking at the diagram I ordered #7 and #24 replacement parts. I figured while I was in there the oven glass looked stained and maybe I would want new glass. With that said when the glass arrived and my husband and I got the oven door off and apart, we realized I... Read more
Fix a microwave door that won't stay open or falls shut with this right-hand torsion spring. Moderate DIY repair—replace both springs at once.
Removed the Microwave from the wall, then had to almost completely disassemble the sheet metal surrounding the microwave unit itself. Lots of screws and wires to work around. Takes 2 people to remove the microwave and set it on a stand outside of the wall unit. Once you get to the light bulb, the replacement is easy, just very challenging to get to the light bulb. Burned or damaged terminal block causing power loss? This connection point fixes arcing, sparking, and burnt wire issues. DIY repair with basic tools.
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the... Read more
Fix a microwave door that drops heavily when opened. This left-hand torsion spring restores proper door tension. DIY-friendly repair with a screwdriver.
Ordered the correct parts, which arrived in 2 days. Took a couple of hours as this sucker is a huge pain, but some offered tips did help. Second time these have broken on this oven.... Read more

Oven not heating or broiling? A failed broil element often shows blistering or breaks. DIY repair in under 30 minutes with a screwdriver.
Found a real cool Youtube video by AppliancePartsPro.com. I watched it and learned how easy it was to unhook and replace the part with proper care and precautions. It even included tips on critical steps so the wires won't slip back inside the hole and save you from hours of possible mistake. Then I ordered the part. It came the day after, then I replaced the part, meaning, I DID THE WORK! (My wife was so impressed- lol) Easy as pie... but we made and had a much nicer roast the day after.... Read more
Oven won't heat after self-clean cycle? A blown thermal fuse cuts power when temps spike. Easy DIY fix—disconnect power, test with multimeter, replace.
This is for the Whirlpool in-wall double oven GBD307PDS10. No power and the door locked after the shutdown before the self-cleaning cycle was over. I watched some video and this is a known issue the fuses blow during self-cleaning. I opened the door with a 90-degree hook, an easy task. Took doors off (watch video from others), unscrewed from the wall, and made a very small platform. and took the oven out (need two people and take the doors off first. The doors are heavy and you won't lift the... Read more
Illuminates the microwave interior for visibility during cooking. Replace when burnt out or dim. Confirm fit with your model number before ordering.
Replace your microwave's broken or cracked glass turntable tray. This circular rotating plate sits on the cavity floor to hold food during cooking.
This was a very easy replacement of the broken glass turntable. What stood out most for me on this was the great experience I had with ApplicancePartsPros.com. I rarely, if ever, write reviews but this experience deserves notice. I found a couple other sites that had a slightly lower price, but AppliancePartsPros.com made it easier for me to verify that I was ordering the right part. On checkout, I selected standard shipping but the part arrived the next day. It was very well packaged (glass... Read more
Seals your oven door to prevent heat loss and maintain cooking temperatures. Replace if worn, cracked, or heat escapes. Confirm fit with your model.
Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. The Door Insulation is a very involved repair, and best to follow specific repair manual instructions. Door... Read more

Burner won't light or igniter keeps clicking? This cooktop igniter creates the spark to ignite gas burners. DIY repair. Video guide available.
My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. The repair was difficult b/c most of the parts are no longer available. But then I found a ray-of-hope. I was able to find some Jennair (Maytag) parts but they are scarce. Later I found... Read more
