My appliance repair guy checked out the problem, but the stack washer dryer required the contractor to dismantle the cabinet to allow the repair to occur. So i wanted the parts available for the repair, so we would not have to have the dryer pulled apart in a small space for an extended time i ordered the parts on Friday afternoon and they arrived at my home before noon on Saturday! The contractor and the repairman were able to coordinate the repair on Tuesday morning, and though the... Read more
The Washer Drive Belt is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. This belt connects the motor to the drum, enabling the drum to rotate during the wash and spin cycles. It ensures the proper transfer of power from the motor to the drum, allowing the washer to agitate and spin effectively.

The dryer is a Kenmore Laundry Center, model 417-99570150. Bought in 1998, so it is an older model. Not wanting to buy the newer ones that are out now. We opted to fix the Kenmore. Just believe the older models are worth fixing, if at all possible. Frist we had to figure out what parts we would need and if the cost would be worth our time. I went on YouTube: and type in Kenmore dryer not turning on. Watched several videos to narrow down the possible problem. Next step was to... Read more

Causes of a bad door catch include mechanical wear from regular use, accidental damage, or misalignment of the door.
Symptoms of a bad Door Catch include:
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.
The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts. Lack of parts and hardware challenged the effort. For example, the blower assembly did not have the slide capture for the motor. I had to use the old one which is showing its age. With the exception of the drum... Read more

This genuine Frigidaire OEM replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore gas ranges.
The Blower Wheel is an OEM part for Frigidaire clothes dryers. This component works to propel hot air through clothes during drying cycles. Causes of a bad blower wheel involve wear from years of operation, such as bearing deterioration or plastic fan blade cracking/warping. Foreign object damage or improper cleaning techniques pose other risk factors. Symptoms of a bad blower wheel include:
The blower wheel center was worn down and spinning freely on shaft. Removing front covers, controls and brackets gave access to blower, which front half came off removing screws. (One screw underneath bracket) Pushed new blower on. (It's keyed and has small tabs that line up with groove on shaft). Installed clamp, reassembled and tested. Don't forget to pull the plug out before working on any appliance. Read more
The Spin Bearing Washer is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. Situated inside the transmission housing, this thin metal washer acts as a subsurface support for the belt pulley bearing. The Water Inlet Valve Assembly is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. This assembly controls the flow of water into the washing machine during the fill cycles, ensuring the correct amount of water enters the tub.
Over time, the water inlet valve can become faulty due to mineral buildup, wear and tear from frequent use, or damage to the valve components. If the valve is not functioning properly, it can result in issues with the water flow into your washing machine.
Symptoms of a bad water inlet valve assembly include:
This is my third repair of this type. The first was a stand-alone washer and was very easy, because there was a plate on which the inlet valve assembly was mounted, and it was easily removed. This repair was on a Frigidaire stacked washer/dryer (laundry center). Stacked washer/dryers are typically purchased to save space and are often tucked into a closet. Be sure you can pull it out to access both front and rear. Remove drain hose from drain, detach water hoses, electricity and dryer vent... Read more
The Door Strike is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. It is a small, essential component that ensures the dryer door remains securely closed during operation. The door strike engages with the door catch to keep the door latched, allowing the dryer to operate efficiently and safely. Without a functioning door strike, the dryer may not start, or it could stop mid-cycle.
You should replace this door strike if it becomes damaged or worn out. Over time, the door strike can suffer from wear due to regular use, misalignment, or accidental impact, leading to issues with the dryer door latching properly.
Symptoms of a bad door strike include:
My dryer door would not stay shut because the door strike was stuck in the door catch. I was afraid that when I pulled the strike out, it would damage the catch, so I ordered the door strike and door catch. I got the damaged door strike out with needle nosed pliers in about 15 seconds. The door catch was in perfect condition so I didn't need to use the one I ordered. So then I proceeded to install the new door strike. That took me about 15 minutes because I did not have the manual strength to... Read more

This factory 8-18 screw secures appliance panels, brackets, and components. Replace missing or stripped hardware to restore a tight, rattle-free assembly and dependable operation.
It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube. I then reversed disassembly. I want to tell you this is a 2 person job. In order to assemble it you need to... Read more

This trunnion plate secures the washer's inner basket to the drive hub/trunnion, keeping the tub centered and stable during spin. Replace it if the basket feels loose, wobbles, or makes scraping/knocking noises from the hub area. What it does:
The seal at the bottom of the tub had started to fail. On large loads water would leak so I ordered a new one rubber seal. Getting the trunnion off the transmission shaft was hard as it was calcified and corroded. I used a wire brush to get some of it off and then used a lot of WD-40. The bolt holding the trunnion plate on sheared off when I tried to remove it on one side and the other came out ok (the bolt hole through the trunnion is not threaded so it should slide out once the plate is off...
