Water supply line that connects the valve to the ice maker or dispenser in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, split, or leaking at connections.
Removed the old line and replaced with the new. This is the sixth time I've replaced the line. Yes you read that right, the sixth time. Lines fail about every 6-8 months so I can change one out now in about 10-15 minutes. Bought the refrigerator in Feb '09 and the line first failed in March 2012. Since then I've had failures in as little as 4 months to as much as 9 months. Frustrating to say the least, but I'm a whiz at changing out the line :-) Read more
Water supply tube that connects your refrigerator to the household water line. Replace if cracked, brittle, leaking, or damaged to restore water flow.
First, water and electricity don't mix, so make sure to unplug your refrigerator before beginning this repair - it shouldn't take more than an hour, so you shouldn't have to worry about spoilage. My water dispenser began making a hissing sound from the back of the fridge when you pressed the dispenser. Upon inspection, I discovered the 1/4" feed line into the filter housing assembly had cracked. I ordered the 1/4" feed and 5/16" return lines, figuring to replace the return line while I was back... No water from dispenser or ice maker? This water inlet valve controls flow to both. DIY-friendly repair—takes about 15 minutes with basic tools.
I viewed the self help video on You Tube and checked the water pressure first. Once the water pressure was determined to be fine I ordered a new water inlet valve as recommended from the video. LG supplier did not have the recommended part and after checking on-line I found Appliance Parts Pros had just what I needed. The video from Appliance Plus Pros showed step by step on how to replace the water inlet valve. It took me approximately 15 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one.... Read more

Lower hinge assembly supports and aligns your refrigerator door. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn causing misalignment or door sag. Installs at door bottom.
The left hinge works on the right side as well as the left. All you have to do is unscrew the little plastic post and move it to the other hole. So even though the web might say that the left hinge assembly is not compatible with your fridge, or that the right hinge assembly is no longer available, it will still work. The door stopper assembly worked just fine. All you have to do is screw it in to the bottom of the door. You will have to disassemble the top hinge (on top of the fridge) in... Read more
Freezer not cold enough or making noise? This condenser fan motor draws air across coils to maintain proper cooling. Moderate DIY repair—requires removing back panel.
After noticing that the fan was not going on with the compressor, I used a small fan to cool the compressor until I got the new fan at which time I replaced the defective fan and the problem was solved. Read more

It was a snap. All I had to do was unsnap one end of where the ice tray attached to the ice maker and fit the tray into the two sides and then resnap the end back onto the icemaker. Very easy. Read more
Fix a warm fridge or squealing fan noise with a new condenser fan blade. Circulates air over condenser coils. DIY repair takes about 30 minutes.
I bought a new cooling motor and blade and installed it, everything seems to be working fine now, did not take that long to fix, maybe about 30 minutes, the longest part was trying to get the old fan off the old motor, finally had to cut it off with bolt cutters, I have a 12 year old LG Refrigerator 26930 double door, if you are handy its not that hard. I had to remove a couple parts in front of the motor to get to it, but very easy. Better than buying a new refrigerator...:). I replaced the... Read more
Replacement guide rail for refrigerator shelves. Mounts horizontally inside cavity to guide shelf height adjustment. Order if cracked, broken, or bent.
I googled around to find the part number, ordered the part and replaced it. I was initially advised to get a different piece than I had searched for. I was advised to get the "crisper drawer" rail handle instead of the "cheese drawer / snack pan" rail handle. The piece I was advised to get was wrong, but the company immediately fixed their mistake without any hassle or delay. The description of the part was also correct in that it did not contain a screw or wheel so I knew to salvage that from... Read more

Fixes erratic cooling, freezing in fridge section, or FF/dH error codes. This sensor monitors freezer temperature for proper cooling. Easy DIY repair.
I removed the defrost sensor assembly, installed a new one, it worked. Because of a shipping problem with FEDEX, Appliancepartspros resent the parts not once but twice. Needless to say, they are my go-to source for parts from now on. Read more
